The location of this campsite is spectacular - calm and crystal clear water all around for swimming but also excellent sites for spear fishing and collecting pipi's/cockles too. Our tent site was a bit average - on a slight hill and had a big patch of sand. Luckily our tent is teeny tiny but for any more than two people it wouldn't have been big enough. It was nice and close to the water for swimming though, even if we didn't have a view of it.
The facilities are adequate but not great. You have to pay to use the showers which I find a bit annoying (a few $$ got you a decent length) but at least they were spacious and had nice hot water. The kitchen was really small and didn't have enough cook tops for the number of people and we had to wait for a while to cook our food, and used our camping cooker some nights to avoid the wait.
They hire our kayaks etc which were fantastic and we had heaps of fun exploring the area in these. The staff were nice and were happy to chat about best fishing spots/collecting shellfish etc. The swimming pool is tiny and again, you have to pay to use it...but with such lovely ocean around I have no idea why you'd want to!
I would stay here again for the location but if you're in a larger group or need a decent site I'd talk to them about this before you arrive and make sure you're going to fit.
