The previous reviewers have covered the highlights of the trip so I won't repeat them, suffice to say we were introduced to some of the most spectacular scenery in New Zealand. Cape Reinga was breathtakingly beautiful, there are no words to describe the view as you stand on the hill looking down and around, even photographs couldn't do it justice. It has a very spiritual feel and that feeling has remained with me.

Jason, you were amazing, entertaining, informative, enthusiastic and good company. You certainly knew your history, you are a great ambassador for New Zealand. Loved your stories, your zany humour, most of your jokes :), your sense of fun. Thank you for taking such good care of us, it was a memorable day.

We had taken our granddaughter with us, she doesn't generally travel distances very well but she was fine on this trip. She has even remembered some of your jokes, which I heard her relate to her mother last night. That trip has given her some wonderful memories, and for the three of us, a welcome quake break from Christchurch. This trip should be on everyone's bucket list.

Organised bus trips are not really my thing, but Harrisons Cape Runner is amazing. We drove ourselves from Pahia to Kaitia to catch the runner at 9am. After picking everyone up from the collection points around the area the tour started - small bus of 32 passengers (great size not too large). Our driver Jason was fantastic - very informative about the areas we visited, interacted well with all the passengers and even told some funny jokes. We got to stop and see some amazing places along the way to Cape Reinga and then back down 90 mile beach - loved the ice cream stop they have got to be the cheapest in NZ and a really nice lunch provided. For $50 this has got to be one of the best tours on offer in NZ and I will certainly be recommending it to all of my friends, family and visitors from overseas.

We recently returned from a 3 week trip to New Zealand. Am from there originally, but never seen up North. The Cape Runner trip from 90 Mile Beach to Cape Reinga would have to be a highlight of this holdiay. From the booking process at Kaitaia, to being delivered to our door the service was faultless. For $50 I feel this is excellent value, a great driver, stunning scenery and local knowledge made for a great day. Not rushed, we were able to amble about at our own pace. The walk up the sand dune was a killer, but what a buzz sandboarding down. Fantastic.
Highly recommend this trip. Take warm clothing, as very breezy at the lighthouse.

Such a thrill to spend a day trip going to the top of the North Island, the scenery is magical and the ride along 90 mile beach on the return trip is amazing as is the sand dunes rides and the incredable coastal views.. not to be missed.

We spent a wonderful day taking the drive up the coast to Cape Reinga. On the way there, we stopped at many points of interest including a beautiful white silica sand beach. The trip home was right on 90 beach with a stop at the sand dunes for tobagganing on the dunes! Great fun had by all!
