“Brilliant B&B”
Reviewed April 6, 2012

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting the Coramandel region, and it was a great choice of B&B. Mark was really helpful, even offering to collect us after we had a car accident! He was a great host - even if he doesn't like the French rugby team! Breakfasts were fab, and the accomodation is first rate. Hahei is just beautiful, and we would love to return some day. We had a beautful room here with a double and single bed. It was very spacious and well furnished, and the french window went straight on to our personal verandah which faced onto the garden. The room had en-suite shower and wash basin, and our own toilet was adjacent to the room. All was spotless! It was a hot day on our arrival and our first port of call was the swimming pool.
We treated oursleves to Mark's generous cooked breakfasts, which we ate on the decking. The village centre, and the beach are within easy walking distance and we were able to walk out for our dinners the two evenings that we stayed. We also walked to Cathedral Cove.
Well located for easy drive to Hot Water beach, and the ferry to Whitianga

Mark Seaderman (or CD to his mates) is a fantastic host in this gorgeous B&B situated in the this tranquil little town. The rooms are clean, comfortable, big and airy which was great after a long flight. Simple and affective breakfasts that either provide a hearty to start to the day or a healthy alternative. Mark was a great host and thanks for the free taxi ride into town and we hope you enjoyed the fish the boys caught for you!

This was our first B&B in New Zealand, setting the tone for all the other very good establishments. Mark has well appointed, clean rooms, with plenty of space. Breakfasts, which are very good, are served on the deck in the sunshine, which is a real pleasure. Hahei is a delightful place to stay and we can certainly recommend this particular B&B and its host.

Room Tip: We looked at all the rooms, which seemed to be of similar quality. B&B hosts in New Zealand see...

We had been travelling around NZ for 4 weeks. Found this through NZ I-site and booked in for 4 nights. Mark was our host and he was fab, even though I was constantly asking him for the use of the washing machine, loan of beach towels, spare travel plugs, use of internet - the list goes on!
We were constant pests! He was just great, really friendly and we got on so well.
Mark must have been fed up when we asked to stay and extra night (5 in total) we liked it so much. Only moved on because the weather wasn't brilliant - only thing that Mark could not change!! Thanks for letting us stay Mark - We had a brilliant time. We also had a brill time in Aukland, maybe we will see you there one day!! Diane & (2 x breakfast) James xxx

Room Tip: Ask Mark for anything! - meaning, where to go and eat or visit, he is full of good advice!

We stayed at Mark's B&B in Hahei for two nights and would do so any time again.
We enjoyed the amusing chatter and of course the continental breakfast on the deck with real coffee and a selection of other good things that made for a good start of the day.
Mark was a great help without fuss providing any kind of information, truthful (yes, I burned my feet at Hot Water Beach and yes, food at The Church is excellent), for restaurant reservation and safeguarding things one unwittingly leaves behind... :o)
