Gallery walk is a must see. The shops offer a very eclectic mix of items for sale which you don't see every day. A number of the shop owners aren't that friendly however and alot of the items are overpriced

All the shops are very expensive, selling junk that is not worth looking at.
You are better of going to your shopping centre and buying the same thing for half the value.

There's good cafes - Cafe Bravo, Soop and Frappelli's - and those to avoid like Gallery Cafe. For restaurants, George's is good and Masala Shanti over the road at the end of the walk is the best Indian restaurant in the entire Gold Coast & hinterland. The shops are a bit hit & miss when it comes to quality, but some stock uniquely Mt Tamborine and Gold Coast gift type products, like Modern Classic and others. Several shops and cafes have their own parking, not always obvious as you're driving along. Also the new car park off Mt Tamborine-Oxenford not far from the Gallery Walk roundabout is good for embarking on a stroll down 'the Walk'. Most shops close at 4 or 4.30 pm and this is a bit of a shock to tourists staying nearby, but venture to Main Street, North Tamborine and you'll find places to eat etc.

Gallery walk is a great place to venture to for a look at quaint village type shops, but do yourself a favour and miss it on the weekend. It has become like everything else on the gold coast and has lost some of it's appeal due to the amount of people that go there. Parking is a nightmare, and as I said, non existent if you go there on a weekend, but a great little spot during the weekdays.

Gallery Walk used to be full of lovely stores jam packed with all sorts of wonderful things , now you can`t move for eating places and the worst craft and junk shops !! very sad .
