I don't usually write reviews but after my visit to Talavera Grove I felt compelled to do so. Firstly the view..what can I say! You simple wont know unless you go but trust me its awesome. Secondly the wine. Im no expert but there seemed to be more varieties on offer than other Hunter wineries I have visited. My favourite was a variety I have never heard of called Verduzzo. There were other unusual wines, Sagrantino, Vermentino. Just so much choice. The staff seemed really professional as well. Very knowledgable, one of the guys told me all about grapes and how they are grown. In all we spent nearly an hour there and I spent way more than I could afford on wine...but I don't regret it a bit. Every night I crack open one of those juicy Verduzzo's it takes me back.
