“Best in Macae so far”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

This was my first stay here after many visits to the Sheraton and the Comfort Suites. If you are willing to pay for the upgrade to a beach front balcony, you will enjoy your stay that much more.. It's spacious, has a Jacuzzi tub (the other two hotels only had showers in the beach front rooms I stayed in) and there is a sauna in the bathroom - (which I used almost every night.) The staff is friendly, the food is very good and room service was fast. The common area on the 7th floor and the pool area is outstanding! It was a very pleasant experience.(If you need a driver in Macae, ask for Jorge Debosson!)

Room Tip: The balcony room was worth it!

Every month I stay in this hotel because of work, and it could be better. The rooms have noisy ar conditioners and maintenance and cleaning could be better too. The sheets do not fit the bed very well.

Room Tip: O sétimo e oitavo andar possuem quartos mais novos, porém, dependendo da localização, escuta-se todo...

The hotel seems to be used mostly for oil company personnel coming or going to offshore locations. The different rooms have been clean, neat, and comfortable. I like the use of floor tile instead of carpet in all of the places I've stayed in Brazil. The restaurant's choices in the buffets were good. Wifi was usually slow but it worked in the different rooms I had.

I stayed in this hotel for a bussines in Macaé in may of 2013. The cleaning and the quality of the room is average ok. If you stay in back side if the hotel you probably will fell anoyed with the noise of the near street that enter through the hole of the air conditioning because the bad acustic room isolating. Be careful with the people of room service. I ordered a dinner looking the menu price and the account came with another higher price. When I told that the price was different thw waiter simply said that I have to pay the higher price. Be careful!

Located on the quiet part of Cavaleros beach, about a half mile walk to the bars and restaurants.
Very nice lobby, but the rooms do not match the quality of the lobby.
Lots of oilfield workers in their coveralls walking around.
Mediocre breakfast.
Had some rude interaction with the night front desk clerk.
Not a holiday hotel.

I only spent one night at this hotel but it was enough to see the quality level you can expect.
Hotel is well located right in front of the beach. Rooms are average in size and condition. However, when it comes to service, be prepared for disappointment.
I checked in at the hotel and went up to the room to find a complete mess. Room had not been prepared there was garbage in the room, a wet towel thrown on the floor and other little things. I informed the front desk and they sent me to a different room where I managed to have a decent night of sleep after I requested a wake up call for the following morning.
Sure enough they never rang my room and I woke up late for a meeting and had to leave without even having breakfast due to their incompetence.
Certainly do not recommend this place.

A great hotel, beautiful new rooms, great restaurant, and coaches to seat in front of the beach while having drinks.
Rooms are new, beds are comfortable, AC are silent.
The actual owner can be regularly seen serving the guests at the reception and the restaurant!
