Brick Pizzeria Napoletana
Ranked #2 of 253 Restaurants in New Bedford
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: $9 - $15
Cuisines: Pizza
Description: Brick is a Napoletana pizzeria. We strive to replicate the type of pizza served in Naples, Italy. Our dough is made with '00' Caputo flour, local water, sea salt, and our own sour dough starter, simple! Our sauce only uses DOP San Marzano tomatoes and a pinch of sea salt to bring out the unique flavor of these classic Italian gems. We hand stretch our own mozzarella daily from local curd (Shy Brothers in Westport, MA check them out!). In addition to pizza we offer fresh salads, some appetizers, calzones, and flatbread sandwiches that we bake off fresh every morning.

It is rare to find brick pizza places in the South, so my family was excited about this place. Oh my gosh, it was so delicious! I can't remember the name of our pizza, but it had chicken. I was only disappointed that we did not get a chance to go again before we left the area. Superb!

It is very hard to please Chicagoans, who think they invented it, with anyone else's version of pizza. If it isn't deep dish, with 4 inches of cheese - forget it. However, with a couple of hours to kill in New Bedford, awaiting our shuttle ride to the Providence airport, we decided to have some lunch at the Brick Pizzeria, and despite doubts going in, our group of 8 was totally impressed with this tasty New England pizza. Not a deep dish to be found, new toppings, and salads with exceptionally good dressings - our judgmental crowd left very satisfied, and impressed with this restaurant and its thin crust, brick oven pizzas. Watch out deep dish, you have a rival for this Chicago family's attention!

Working downtown, I find the pizza here to be okay but very over-priced. You can easily spend $10 for a small pizza. If they are counting on the tourist trade, good for them, for those of us who live and work in downtown New Bedford, there are plenty of alternatives.

This is the best pizza that I have had around the area, and one of the best in MA.
You can build your own or choose one of their creations.
Staff are friendly and service overall is excellent

I simply love the pizza here! Thin crisp crust, fresh mozzella, olive oil - so delicious! The pizzas are all great but my favorite is the Rucola which has cheese and prosciutto and is topped with arugula tossed in olive oil and salt. The best!
