Stayed at this hotel a few years ago and we still talk about how nice it was. It's worth the money just for the bellman that give you towels and water when you go for a drive. Lot's of places to eat in town. The pool area is great and they pamper you all day and it's included in the price of your room.

My husband and I stayed at the Four Seasons Wailea on our honeymoon. Maui was our first honeymoon stop, and after 21 hours of traveling from NYC (with layovers and mechanical trouble) we could not have landed in a more peaceful or beautiful property! The service was impeccable; and we felt like royalty! The food was expensive, but delicious! The rooms were pricey as well, but so roomy and very comfortable. From our balcony we could see the pool and the ocean. The pool area was awesome -- they have shaded cabanas on a first-come-first-served basis, and they hand out ice pops, water and lemon-scented washcloths throughout the day. There are a number of restaurants on the property and all delicious! I would highly HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone visiting Maui!

If you are having trouble choosing where to stay in Maui, let me make it easy for you--you must stay at the Four Seasons Wailea. It is truly unbelievable. Simply magical.

When we arrived we were greeted with leis and iced orange blossom tea. Our garden view room was more than we expected. The room was beautifully decorated and had a huge semi-private courtyard with a partial ocean view. Every day, fresh orchids were put in our room. At night, his and hers slippers were set by our bedside.

The grounds are just amazing: lush gardens, tucked-away hammocks and seating areas, and breath-taking views from every angle. No detail has been overlooked.

The spa is worth splurging on. We enjoyed a couples massage in a cabana overlooking the beach. It was the perfect way to begin our vacation. If you go to the spa, you must try out the showers in the locker room. Bathing in these high-tech showers is a spa treatment all by itself.

The pools, like everything else, are stunning. The pools are surrounded by beach cabanas and comfortable lounge chairs. Pool attendants come by throughout the day and offer goodies like chilled aloe, popsicles, or ice cold water. Yes, the serenity pool fills up quickly, but it is worth a visit at least one day.

We dined at Spago and Duo for dinner and at Ferraro's for lunch. All of the restaurants were very good but the service was the highlight of each. The views from the restaurants are spectacular. We ate lunch while watching whales breach and play. What could be better?

Our favorite part of the hotel had to be the beach. It is a perfect, clean, and uncrowded beach that is just steps from the hotel. Be sure to go snorkeling near the rocks to the left of the beach. There are some amazing sights in that area. Snorkel gear is free for guests for one hour each day. In addition, for around $30.00 the hotel offers paddle boards, surf boards, and sea kayaks to rent. We loved sea kayaking. Two huge sea turtles came right up to the kayak to say hello.

When I daydream about paradise, this hotel is what I will forever think of. You cannot go wrong by choosing to stay at the Four Seasons Wailea.

Just got home today from 8 days at the Four Seasons Wailea.
I can say with no hesitation, that although expensive, staying here is worth every nickel. You should have high expectations when you are spending $1000 a night per room plus food etc. (this was our rate). Absolutely everything was amazing. I have been to the hotel 3 times on group corporate travel, but this was the first time out of my own pocket and with family.

Wow. I love the fact that they don't nickel and dime you once you're in the door. Cabanas? No charge. Complimentary chauffeur driven sedan or SUV to the nearby shops of Wailea? No charge. A friendly warning about dinner on property: it will be world-class food and ambience, and it will be pricey. If you are with your kids, you may want to go two minutes away to the shops of Wailea (a big but understated mall) to Tommy Bahamas Cafe, Longhi's for Italian, or the little cheeseburger joint. My only caution would be to avoid the new Sushi restaurant next to the Rolex store-not great...
If you want to ensure a 5 star vacation with no surprises in a gorgeous location, plan on the Four Seasons Wailea. You just cannot go wrong.

Stayed here for 2 days on a weeklong trip to 3 islands. The valet ($20/night) asks your name, and takes your car and bags while another person greets you by name and gives lei's, and then drinks and cool towels. They upgraded our room from mountain (which is actually overlooking the parking garage) to garden view and upon arriving there was chilled champagne, a rose and a card congratulating us on our anniversary. The room is connected by glass sliding doors to a small semi-private lawn and chairs. A hedge gives some privacy and you can overlook the croquet court which has a large whale statue. Very beautiful grounds including some more secluded spots. On floor 4 there was a garden, statue, and places to lounge if you want to get away from people - they upkeep the grounds here perfectly. On floor 6 there is a basketball area as well as 2 tennis courts. You can request rackets and play anytime for free, and they offer lessons by a professional for a fee if desired. There are chairs with remote control mist to cool off. They also have cold water available at multiple areas here. We really enjoyed these little hideouts!

Duo's for breakfast was very nice, you can get the buffet (different choices up to $34/person) or a single plate for a lower price. The eating area is outside nearby to the children's pool but there were so few kids around that it was very serene. The food was great, you can ask the chef to prepare a number of items including omelets with shrimp, and waffles. They have a variety of fruit and items for kids as well. They bring out a complementary mini drink of the day which is some variant of a yogurt smoothie which was also good. They have newspapers and Times Fax available for free as well. It was a great breakfast.

Ferraro's for lunch by the adult pool was also very good, and my husband thinks their burger was the best around. Their blueberry mojito was wonderful. I had the lobster sandwich which was lobster on white bread - good, but I'd recommend trying something else unless you are a big lobster fan.

The main grounds is gorgeous and has a heated pool and fountain. The beach is pristine, warm water, not much wind (especially compared to Oahu and the Big Island), crystal clear water that you can see through to the bottom, and a good amount of wave activity for fun. An attendant will come around with water glasses. By far this is the best beach of all the locations I visited during my stay. (I was disappointed in how rocky Waikiki beach is in the water!) Next door is Grand Wailea but this is clearly the place for kids, they've even got an attendant who's sole job it is to bring the tarzan rope over for kids to use. So we were glad to be at the four seasons instead of Grand Wailea since it was just us two. If we were to go back with kids, we'd likely stay at the Grand Wailea instead of the Four Seasons though.

They advertised a hula and torch lighting ceremony but we couldn't find it during its advertised time. There is a person singing though.

We signed up for a scuba clinic but the water was too choppy for the ocean scuba so that portion was canceled. They said they'd be more than happy to call in an instructor for the pool portion just for us, which was very nice of them, but we declined.

All in all this is a pristine place to stay with what appears to be the best beach anywhere in Hawaii. My husband and I are a little unused to all the attention we got there, as we're more accustomed to the 'simple' life, but if you have the money to spend, its a great place to go. We saw two celebrities while we were there, but we understand they are there to get away from the world like we are, so we left them alone and will honor their privacy by not listing their names.

Alternatively, we found a small amount of parking just south of the hotel, so one could probably stay at an alternative location so as to save on the cost(we paid $500/night which seems to be the cheapest you can get), and then park here to access this fantastic beach.

I'm glad we stayed here 2 nights for the experience, but for an average working class couple, this price is steep for more than just a short stay.

This hotel may be a bit on the pricey side but it is all worth it when you find out what all is included in just having a room at the hotel. I would stay again in a heart beat!
