If Wailea has a local spot with great food and stiff drinks this is it. Reasonably priced, terrific service. Ahi main course on polenta with corn and blank beans was over the top!

While visiting Maui a recommendation was made to try Joe's, so we did.....or should I say, so happy we did! The food, service and attention to detail is fantastic! Make sure you order a martini while your there...the glasses these are served in are very cool! 3 different meals ....3 great results! I would recommend Joe's as a definite must while visiting Maui, you won't be disappointed! :)

We had two prior visits to Joe's over the past four years, and both provided pleasant experiences that kept us coming back. The streak ended on our third visit, and we won't be headed back here in the future.

We took our family for Christmas dinner, which we had done before. The main problem was the service. We had a group of 9, and it was obvous our server was trying to move the herd through as fast as he could. We ordered wine by the bottles, and after a pretty long wait it turned out they didn't have what we ordered. When we finally got a bottle, he set it in the middle of the table and took off, as if he was tossing down a pitcher of water. This was fast-break dining. No interaction, just get the order in and keep moving.

The food was adequate, no complaints really on that front. The place just lacked any warmth, and at best our server was perfunctory. This restaurant falls well below the standards set at Nick's Fishmarket, and Mama's, but the price doesn'[t recognize that. My advice is to save your dollars for some fo the real quality restaurants in Maui.

We ate at Joe's over the Thanksgiving holiday, and it didn't disappoint. Our two fish dishes were deliciously prepared, the crab dip sooo good (as it always is), and the cocktails so yummy. We were able to watch the sunset from our table, and it feels like you are up in a tree house -- very cool. Joes is always on our agenda when we visit Maui. The menu is a nice blend of regional cuisine and comfort food. Plenty of fish, chicken and meat dishes, as well as veg options. A word of note, this is not an inexpensive restaurant. But it's worth it (did I mention the crab dip)?
If you have room after your meal -- try their dessert menu. WOW!!!

Located in the Wailea Tennis Club, this is one of Bev Gannon's ( of Hali'i Maile General Store fame) outposts. The restaurant is open air in a hut type atmosphere. No ocean views but very serene and quiet. The restaurant serves farm fresh foods and local ingredients. The crab dip is definitely not to be missed. Our table went for the meat and fish. The black market ribs and the fresh fish special Hawaiian monchong served with a Thai style essence were as good as it gets. The specialty drinks including the Mai Tai's were among the best on the island. Our waiter was pleasant, prompt and professional. The best part were the prices were a bit lower than the usual Wailea resort restaurants. For a nice change away from the hotel restaurants, I would highly recommend eating at Joe's.
