“Casual Place with Elevated Comfort Food”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

We have returned to Joe's time and time again throughout the years, and it is a reliably excellent dining experience. The restaurant has a relaxed and casual atmosphere, and the service is warm and responsive. They have a wide selection at the bar, and a good wine list. The food is slanted towards the idea of comfort food, with ribs, meatloaf, and a truly exceptional burger on the menu. But there is also a fine selection of seafood, locally sourced and very well prepared and presented. The starting appetizers and salads are also fine, and the chocolate bread pudding is difficult to share -- everyone wants their own! There's ahill down to the restaurant from the parking lot, but they provide a golf cart ride down if there is anyone with mobility challenges. This is definitely a place to stop in Wailea for good food in a more relaxed setting.

“Delicious Monchong Meal”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Had the Monchong special at Joe's a couple of days ago - my compliments to the chef! I was not familiar with this species of fish and took a chance and ordered it. Very glad I did - grilled to perfection with a pineapple/butter reduction, jasmine rice and asparagus. My husband had the mahi; also excellent. Will definitely be back!

“Great food and service”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

Our last night on Maui we went to Joe's for our last dinner out.
It is more expensive than we normally spend as our bill and tip was $360 for 6 people.
But sometimes you have to spend a bit more for special nights.

We went all out with appetizer, drinks, nice entrees, plus a couple shared desserts. All of the food was great and the service was frequent and kept our drinks filled.

Desserts (Kona mudslide) was large enough that it can easily be shared by two.

“Fair”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Some dishes are better than others at this restaurant. Thus, half of the family liked it and half did not. Atmosphere was fine but not amazing, service was also acceptable, but nothing was memorable.
