After eating out the past two nights it was a real relief to head back to Joe's...
I have read a few of the reviews posted and I guess they had visited another Joe's.
This place is not a fancy white table clothe type of place but just a down home friendly restaurant where Joe himself walks around stopping at every table.
As always the food tonight was outstanding, the service was top of the mark, but what would I know. Give me a good prime rib or Joe's meat loaf and I am in heaven
If this place is good enough for Alice Cooper it's good enough for me...

We have been going to Joe's Bar & Grill for more than a decade as we are in Wailea for a couple of weeks every Christmas season. We have always loved the restaurant, but this year, we were disappointed. Of the four of us, only one thought that it would be worth returning while we are here. The service was outstanding, as it has always been. The food however was not what we expected and was just not very good. There were a few items that were as outstanding as the food used to be, specifically the ahi carpaccio, the ahi main course, and the beef quesadilla. The meatloaf however was mediocre, the shrimp salad was unfortunately overwhelmed with olives and otherwise had little taste. The quinoa salad tasted like lettuce on which way too much stone ground mustard had been poured. I love good mustard, but the balance between the lettuce and the mustard was off; and the quinoa seemed to be missing! We would never order those two salads again. I know that this was a new menu so we are hoping that these items will either be removed or improved before we return. If not, then our next visit might be our last visit...and we truly have loved going to this restaurant for years and years. The rating (average rating) would be lower if based only on our most recent visit; we raise the rating due to our long term loyalty to a restaurant that has historically been wonderful and that we hope will be wonderful again.

Great food and a fun atmosphere. Very small bar area. The pork chop and ribs are among the best. Can be loud in the evening. Good view. Parking is a long ways away but they have a shuttle.

I had the pumpkin seed mahi mahi and it was very good. We shared the ahi carpaccio and that was also very good. I didn't indulge in dessert.
The server was friendly but not very attentive.
The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and was very busy. We arrived after dark so have no idea about the view.
Our red wine was warm so we asked for a cooler to just cool it down a little. They could take a note from their sister restaurant - Gannon's and serve wine at the proper temperature. I had to ask for red wine glasses as our server seemed to think it was okay to leave us with white wine glasses he brought when our companions ordered their white wine.

Nice atmosphere but so so food. Fish entree was good, famous ribs were horrible. Kale and romaine caesar had lots of brown romaine. Would not return here.
