“Best sunsets in the world!”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

This is really an amazingly beautiful and scenic beach. You get views of Molokini and Kahoolawe islands.

It's a wide sandy beach with areas for snorkeling (rocks along the edges), boogie boarding (nice waves in the middle).

The sunsets are spectacular. You can walk the beach walk from Ulua beach to Polo beach. Wailea is the most picturesque. Ulua best for snorkeling, and Polo the least crowded!

Wailea beach 3 resorts, and gets crowded (dominated with chairs from the Grand Wailea). Still, there is always space for everyone. Can get a little rough in the afternoons with the southern swells, but calm in the mornings. People are out paddle boarding and even outrigger canoeing.

“Beautiful beach”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

We spent late morning until late afternoon on the beach on an excursion from our cruise ship. The beach and water is beautiful and there are amenities there which is great because we had nothing. As others said get there early because 12:30 the wind and seas picked up which made it much less enjoyable. We were snorkeling and by 1pm it was so rough and the water clarity was no longer good on the reef. Also paddle boarding was almost not possible after 1pm. We were looking to see some turtles while snorkeling but as I said it got too rough to go to the other side of the south rocks where we were told we would see them. All in all a great day. Would have been better if the wind held off till 4.

“Sun, Sand, Paradise”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We stayed at the Four Seasons for a week and it is located on this beach. We almost never sat at the pool but instead enjoyed this beach. You can get in and out fairly easily as long as you watch the waves. There are always paddle boarders, snorkelers, and outrigger canoes in the water. The beach has the Four Seasons at one end and The Grand Wailea at the other. Due to this the beach can be a little crowded. There is a section next to where the Four Season sets up their chairs that locals and anyone not staying at the resorts can sit. I did see a guy set up renting chairs there also on the weekend.

“sandy bit of paradise”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

I love to snorkel. Saw good fish at each end of the beach. Water is very clear. Recommend fins as you will want to swim a ways off shore to get best viewing. Also, area around rocks had great variety of fish and very strong currents.
