The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. And the Condo was amazing. My husband could not believe how beautiful and spacious it was and the view was fantastic. It was so wonderful that we decided to go to the store and get food to have dinner at the condo. They had everything we needed and even supplied us with a little basket of goodies to get us started. The kids loved the elevator and they each had their own room with bathroom. The master bedroom was great with a comfy bed and a huge master bath. The Condo had connections to the Grand Wailea and a staff member would drive us to and from daily so we could use the pool and other amenities there. The beach is one of the best on Maui!

This VIP area of the Grand Wailea Resort is a major upgrade from the hotel itself. Located directly accross the street, Ho'olei was able to accomodate our family of 8 under one roof, while still having access to the ammenities of the Grand Wailea. Highly reccommend!

We stayed at the Ho'olei for 10 days just a few weeks ago and the everyone thought Ho'olei was amazing. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (ages ranging from 14 months -7 years). In the mornings the shuttle would pick us up and take us to the Grand Wailea and the kids played in the pool and slides or went snorkeling. Then the shuttle would pick us up and take us back to the our unit. It was like having your free personal taxi, although we always tipped the drivers. At the Grand Wailea it's always busy and fun...but it's nice to finish the evening at the Ho'olei pool where it's peaceful and relaxing. The fitness center is nice and no one seemed to utilize it while I was there (early mornings). We are going to come back at Christmas and plan to stay there again. I prefer it over all the luxury hotels in Maui.

We are frequent visitors to Maui usually splitting our time between Four Seasons and Ritz. For this trip we planned 10 days at Ho'Olei followed by two weeks at the Four Seasons. Having never stayed at a condo before we were not sure what to expect regarding amenities. We were so impressed we cancelled the Four Season portion and did the entire stay at Ho'Olei. The condos are impressive, staff amazing and having both the pool their and at the Grand Wailea a plus. Do have Alain at [--] cater a dinner or two he is amazing and price similar to dining out. Also shop at costco when coming in, we found the star mart that the resort shops at for the units is lacking in quality fish and produce. We did stay at two different units because of the extended stay and both were quality, but the one closer to the pool had a more relaxed lanai. Also insure the unit does come with Grand Wailea amenities. Both units had wireless internet and fax if needed. Very special place.

We stayed at Ho'olei at Grand Wailea for 9 nights in late March, 2009. Every part of our stay here was spectacular :) We were a family of 5 (married couple with 3 young kids, 7, 5 and 9 mths) and one set of grandparents. Every single one of us had the most fantastic holiday!!!!
When we arrived at Ho'olei we were greeted by Chelsea at the front reception area and she always looked out for us the entire time we were there. Logan who is one of the guys that zips you around on the golf carts was also wonderful. I can't beleive they remember everyone's name!!!!
The 3 bedroom villa was so spacious and beautiful with all the finest fittings and furnishings. The kitchen was a cook/chef's dream and we made many of our meals from here, saving on eating out all the time. We loved the built in BBQ on the upper lanai too and enjoyed our dinners sitting out there watching the whales frolic in the ocean...absolutely wonderful.
The laundry was also fitted out with the most fantastic washer and dryer...I am looking out for them over here in Australia to replace mine with!!!!!!
Now, the kids absolutely loved the pool and spa at Ho'olei BUT loved the Grand Wailea pools even more...which we were free to use as being guests of Ho'olei. This pool/adventure play area has got to be one of the best in the world for family fun. We spent about 6-8 hrs every day at the Grand Wailea...we couldn't get the kids out of the water! It has about 8 pools linked together with water rapids and water slides...just amazing. There are pools to suit all level of swimmers and also a private "adults only" pool, which we of course we never used as we were with our kids the entire time. There was also a "rough" sandy pool area that was very shallow for little toddlers. FANTASTIC!!!
Saying that we were glad that we didn't stay at Grand Wilea Resort as we could go back to our 3 bedroom condo to settle down and have SPACE and PEACE! No hotel hussle and bussle.
We also did the Holeakali volcano drive, which was great :) and took a Molokini crater and turtle town snorkel trip - which we all loved. We would definitely recommend the Snorkel trip with Maui Dive and Ski...no frills but fantastic crew and no wasting time!
So, all in all we had the best holiday ever!!!!
We will be back again next year for sure!
