My sister and I stayed here following a (disappointing) stay at the Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali (see separate review). From the moment we arrived through the end of our stay, we felt that it was worth the price. It's a beautiful property with five pools (most infinity-edged), a gorgeous beach, and a number of fantastic restaurants. Poolside service and menu (from drinks to food) is really outstanding. Pools do not feel crowded. We did SUP (me twice) and the outrigger canoe (lessons included in resort fee), and we even saw a huge sea turtle during the canoeing! It was incredible. Wind made it too cloudy for snorkeling when I attempted it, but there's a great snorkeling location around some rocks when it's clear. Customer service is top notch. Almost every staff member warmly greeted us, whether we needed assistance or were just passing by, and the assistance was almost always spot on. Cold water is readily available on every even floor. From our oceanfront room, we could see Kahoolawe, Molikini, and even the luau on the lawn! The only thing we wished we had done differently was to arrange for a late checkout. While there is a family lounge with showers, it is very warm and stuffy and just not conducive to getting ready for 15 hours of flying back to the East Coast. We both agreed that we would definitely stay here again.
