Had a great experience. The staff was very friendly, and we're mostly helpful (besides our check in person). We had a beautiful view, beautiful pools and lobby. The food was also good...not great...but good. The atmosphere was very nice

This hotel was beautiful with warm and friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable and quiet; the food was delicious; the staff was amazing. The ocean/beach was lovely with fantastic snorkeling right off the shore. There are also a ton of other great ocean activities. We would go back in a heartbeat! it

This is a beautiful property. The food is the BEST I've ever had at a "breakfast included" resort. The rooms are awesome and the whole resort is amazing. The rooms are beautiful and modern. (Although I didn't understand why the shower curtain would open up into the main room.)
However, it seems a little generic. I didn't feel anything uniquely "Hawaiin" about it. The staff was young and not so friendly (although, we did complain the management were very good about helping us out!).
DO NOT get a "Mountain View" room; it is a view of a parking lot.
The ocean view and partial ocean view rooms are great!
The parking is valet only, which is expensive, and you have to wait a while to get your car.
The restaurants are award-winning (and deserving of it), but very expensive. One good thing about the location is that there are inexpensive places to eat and buy beer very close by. Not enough close by, however, that the shuttle would take you there. (It only takes you to the mall as far as I could tell.)
There were no "adults only" areas, but that didn't seem to be a big a deal, as there were not many children there. There were no "cell phone" free zones which was a huge bummer! It is an EXPENSIVE resort and it was spoiled again and again for us by loud conversations and by people playing loud music. There should be a quiet area for those who want it.

We loved the room and amenities. Modern, calm, and very refined. Restaurant had incredible food. The service levels were very good in some areas but disappointing in others. We have stayed at many luxury resorts as well as budget places and often mix both during extended trips. This was a first class property and deserves 5 stars for its amenities, location, and condition. Some of the service was 5-star, while other services were what you'd expect from a 3-star place. Overall we would recommend this hotel and its restaurant with a caveat that you may need to ask for a few things like room cleaning and coffee with dessert. Not big deals, but just not really equal to what you'd expect from an otherwise incredible peoperty. We enjoyed our stay but may try a different 'splurge' hotel next time we visit.

The Andaz at Wailea is the perfect oasis. Wailea is a beautiful bubble with great weather and beautiful beaches. The hotel is stunning; from the moment you walk in, you are greeted with perfect views and warm hospitality. With great amenities and fantastic food, you can find yourself not thinking to leave. Maui has a lot to offer and this is the perfect place to call home.
