I've found the perfect pool and it's at the Andaz!
No chlorine <3

Very comfortable rooms with blackout blinds and sheers that swish open and closed at the press of a button ensure sweet dreams. The beds are quite low, extremely comfortable with lovely down quilts and pillows.

Try the ahi poke bowl for lunch.

Room Tip: The rooms by the tranquil pool are the quietest.

The Andaz in Maui was incredible in every way. My husband and I stayed a week there recently for a friends' wedding / our babymoon. We could not be happier with our experience there!

The grounds and facilities are immaculate. Everything is new and very clean. The service is top notch, with extremely friendly and helpful staff members. They seem genuinely happy to be there.
The resort never seemed overly crowded and hectic. After strolling along the beachfront trail past several of the other resorts, we really appreciated coming back to the relaxing and friendly atmosphere of the Andaz.

We love that the resort has a focus on sustainability. It's evident from the locally sourced fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses served at the restaurants. Also, we learned that the hotel runs on renewable energy and is LEED certified.

During our stay, we took advantage of their onsite photography service (Pacific Ocean Dreams). The service includes a 45-minute session around the grounds and at the beach. We then were able to purchase the digital photographs afterwards. It was great to have beautiful vacation pictures with both my husband and I in the photo! We loved working with Zach and Jorge as well.

There are also countless small service touches that just make the experience so much nicer. My only small complaint is that our room did not have ample drawer space for two people's worth of clothing for a week.

Overall, it's one of our best hotel experiences and we look forward to making Andaz our home again on future Maui trips.

We just returned from 4 days at the new Andaz in Wailea and it is a breath of fresh contemporary design in Maui. We love Hawaii but finding a hotel with any modern flair is a bit of a stretch. Thankfully the Andaz has been designed from the bottom up with an eye toward chic modern style. The rooms are sleek, comfortable and chock full of all the conveniences. The hotel entry is brilliant opening up to a spacious crisp lobby with a remarkable view of the sea, palm trees and a hillside with a series of gorgeous pools, waterfalls and water features sloping down to the ocean.
The food throughout the hotel grounds is truly remarkable. The Morimoto restaurant is brilliant. Their on site farm to table restaurant Ka'Ana is equally delicious. What a revelation to find cuisine rivaling the best of NYC or LA in Maui. The only proviso is that dining and room rates at the hotel are super expensive, but at least in this case it's so superb that we didn't bemoan the cost.
The location of the hotel is also perfect, with its own beautiful cozy beach that has access to a series of equally beautiful beach coves up and down the coast.
If a trip to Maui is on your bucket list, you cannot go wrong with the Andaz.

Stayed for 1 night. I don't think it's worth the money. A girlfriend & I spent about 315 USD for Pedi & Mani at their Spa on Feb 14, 2014. They charged my credit card twice for the same amount for no reason. I called them three times to try to get my money back. Of course they alway said they will call back but never did.

This is a brand new hotel (opened in September 2013) with a contemporary design, spectacular views, great service and delicious food. A little different than other Andaz properties in that it caters to families to a greater extent.

Highlights: Make sure to visit the Ka'ana Kitchen for its extensive brunch (fresh and some made-to order) and its unique first rate dinners. There is also a fantastic assortment of cocktails at the pool bar that would rival any in New York. Plenty of activities include three infinity pools, an adult pool, spa services, the beach and a short walk to The Shops at Wailea. Service at the hotel is overall excellent: very polite, friendly and sincere. In room there are complimentary snacks and juices/coffee that are replenished daily.

Lowlights: The rooms are on the small side and it's not possible to get a burger at the bar for dinner (only available through room service). There is only one hot tub for the property and can comfortably accommodate about 6 adults (grab it when you can!). We ended up renting a boogie board at the local dive shop in the mall for $15/week instead of the $15/day through the hotel. We also found that Morimoto's was not worth the wait or the money (the menu is exactly the same as it has been for quite some time).

The staff on the beach were particularly friendly and gave good advice about local sightseeing and prime times for paddling boarding etc...

Our stay was the perfect combination of relaxation, exploration and enjoyment. This was a very happy experience and we cannot wait to return!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the adult pool are quiet and shady. Rooms facing the ocean get music and noise from th...

We stayed at the Andaz for a week in early February. The rooms are lovely--simple modern furnishings. The bathroom was amazing with a huge shower with a view! We were on the seventh floor (room 710) directly facing the ocean. Every day we could shower and watch the whales at the same time! The lanai doors slide nearly all the way open. We left the doors open most of the time to catch the breezes.
The beach is lovely in front of the hotel and the beach crew is very attentive to whatever your need. They also have complimentary outrigger canoe rides every morning for those what to get up early and go for a paddle.
The service was top notch. The staff seemed to pay attention to everything we said. When we checked in, I mentioned while I was with my company for a reward trip it was also doubling as a honeymoon of sorts as my husband and I had been married for over a year and never had a honeymoon. A day later they sent over a beautiful fruit and cheese snack tray with a note from the GM congratulating me on my professional accomplishments and wishing my husband and me a very happy belated honeymoon. Nice touch! The breakfast buffet is pricy but well worth at least one visit during the stay. Fresh fruits were cut to order, including exotic varieties we had never heard of. They proudly serve locally sourced ingredients. The service was fantastic. As we left the breakfast I mentioned our server had taken great care of us and that we enjoyed it very much. Much to my surprise a day after a card appeared in our room from her (so mad I can't remember her name just now--its been a month) with wonderful note thanking us for our kind words and the offer of a complimentary coffee and pastry as a thank to us. It is that kind of attention to detail that makes one feel special and pampered. This is a beautiful place for a honeymoon or just a couples getaway. Very romantic.

Room Tip: room 710 directly faces the ocean and offers superb privacy.

We stayed at the Andaz at the beginning of our honeymoon and found it to be the perfect start to our special, relaxing trip. We found the Andaz to be stylish, modern, and located on the beach in a spectacular part of Wailea. One of the things that drew us to the Andaz was the smaller size, which certainly gives the resort a more intimate feel.

After arriving at their stunning lobby and settling into our room, we soon received a complimentary bottle of Roederer champagne in honour of our honeymoon; a really generous touch. Throughout our stay, we found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly, particularly Ben, who initially greeted us upon our arrival, and later readily helped us on a number of occasions; even once coming up with a list of favoured Italian restaurants in the area for us. Our ocean view king room was beautiful, and had cool modern touches like automated blinds and a fold-away flat screen television. From our balcony we were able to see whales a few hundred meters out to sea. The whales and amazing sunsets we witnessed just capped off a truly wonderful place to stay.

The Andaz has 4 fantastic swimming pools, which meant that we never felt crowded when swimming or relaxing by the pool. The pool staff and poolside bar staff were immediately attentive to our needs and very friendly. Also worth a mention is the really convenient 24 hour on-site market, where the staff do a great coffee to start your day with.

The Andaz offers a number of great activities; some complimentary, such as outrigger canoeing. On one occasion, when we enquired about whether a particular afternoon activity was still going ahead in the wet weather (an outdoor talk about Hawaiian history, myths and legends), we were met with complete uncertainty, and nobody seemed to know who was responsible for the activity. This occurred just the once, which is why it stood out as unusual, and at least was replaced with live musical entertainment.

Whilst the resort was not inexpensive, we encountered no unexpected charges, which was a refreshing change. We found the Andaz to be just wonderful and easily the best place we stayed at during our time in Hawaii (across three islands). We would not hesitate to return to the resort, or to recommend it to other travellers, especially fellow honeymooners.
