It's a pretty sad comment about the restaurants in Maui that this place is rated #1. Not that its a terrible restaurant or anything, but it's really more of a cafe or lounge. At least that's the ambience as I perceive it. Also it doesn't stay open very late either as a good restaurant ought to.
I'll admit the service was good, but a little too friendly. Good service to me is fast, efficient, and pleasant. The service at Duo at the Four Seasons is perfect. Those people were expertly trained.
Yes, the view is lovely. But it's a golf course on the water. And by 7 the view is gone!. Some landscape lighting would have helped greatly.
Yes the food is good, but again not fantastic. I hate to reiterate this over and over, but the food on Maui is average. Every experience was average not great.
So when I see that this cafe on the green was rated number 1 I'll admit the rating is accurate because as it's just an average restaurant it's sadly the best Maui has to offer.
