We had two meals here and they were wonderful. We loved the garlic fries, mahi mahi fish tacos, and the large variety of beers where well received. The best ending was the desert...coconut cream pie...YEAH!

Had a late lunch here on the patio overlooking the ocean. Started with the best Mai tai ever -- it's won local awards and it's obvious why. Ordered the fresh fish sandwich, poke tacos and truffle fries. Everything was perfect and the service was excellent. I would have come back for dinner that same day but I felt the need to explore the options of the island, even though I would have been thrilled to come back.

Family friendly restaurant and opportunity to get out of the hotel for a nice walk. Hotel craziness and amount that can be spent on food is astronomical. Short one mile walk up the street and we hit a diamond!

Menu is not huge but hits all the right spots. Fresh fish, poke, light appetizers, salads to steak and burgers.

Live music was constantly going and the staff was very attentive. We give it two thumbs up!

Our experience at Monkeypod was so good that we went back two days later. We booked for 6pm but we actually got there just after 5 so we made it for happy hour and saved not only on drinks but also on our appetisers. The mai tai with the honey lilikoi foam on top was spectacular and they have a wide range of wines and beers to choose from. We both chose the pumpkin patch ravioli for appetiser both times we went. They were that good. They also have a wide range of pizzas which I was advised by our taxi driver are fantastic. The Ahi that I ate was perfectly presented and tasted great and my partner had the pulled pork sandwich both times we ate there and he is still raving about how good it was. The first night we went we had the banana cream pie for dessert and it was good but the second time we ate there I chose the strawberry marscapone cream pie and it was magnificent. The service was friendly and efficient both times we went and we sat inside on the first occasion and out on the balcony the second. Sitting outside you can enjoy a great view and watch the sunset which was probably my preference of the two. I would definitely recommend Monkey pod to anyone going to Maui for a great night out.

Very good food, great beverage selection, great service. Everything was good except my steak., which seemed like it was a "second." Appetizers and other entrees were excellent.
