“New, exciting, energetic and wonderful place to relax and dine.”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

Been to Maui many a time and we were staying next door (Grand Champions...avoid this place) and decided to stop for lunch.

The place is amazing, staff wonderful and importantly, Knowledgable.

Ordered Poppers for a starter..amazing. Fish and chips and fish tacos..tres dilish.

The beers and drinks are modern, relevant and chic and they cater to kids as though a movie star walked in and ordered a smoothie.

Has elevator access, indoor or out dining, happy hour, and live music, all in the heart do wailea, the only place to stay.

I can see this place rising to the number one spot to dine and have fun very quickly. Inexpensive and nice atmosphere.

“Another great restaurant by Merriman”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

My husband & I had dinner here on a very busy Saturday night but we never felt rushed & the meal was very fresh & just as great as other Merriman restaurant. We started with Mai Tai's & amazing garlic truffle fries. We both had the seafood special which was very fresh & had great presentation. For desert we had banana cream pie that was so large it could feed 4 people. I made our reservation via open-seat just a couple hours before going with out any problems. Our table was ready when we arrived. The restaurant can be a bit noisy but not so bad that you can hear one another. Overall a great experience. Our waiter was Damian & he was very friendly & attentive even though he was very busy. Since it was my husbands birthday the banana cream pie was free.

“Oh, the fish!”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

Sure, you probably expect excellent seafood on Maui, but this place goes overboard. Three of us got fish while one (as always) got a steak. We were all thrilled with the meal, but not so thrilled with the noise level. It was really LOUD! Very nice cocktail menu, too.

“Happy hour 3-5:30”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Happy hour is the best deal. 1/2 price appetizers and $9 pizza. It is the only time of day that drinks are reasonable. As is the new trend with all open ceilings it is loud and service and attitude is very hit or miss. Not inexpensive.

“Pizza good but otherwise disappointing”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Loved the truffle mushroom pizza and cold beer, but otherwise food was subpar. Service started good, but quickly soured. Too many other options in Maui. Skip Monkeypod.
