their specialty drinks are great. their noodle dishes are flavorful. it's a hip-out-of-the-hotel spot. crowded but has a good happy hour. seems to have a lot of locals.

We love the fact that the Monkeypod is farm to table - local Hawaiian ingredients. It is so nice to get away from the cookie cutter touristy restaurants and have a creative yet casual meal.

We ate here two times while on vacation in Wailea. The concierge at our condo recommended this and he was correct that it is a great restaurant. The good was excellent, the service was good, and both times we were there, no one in our party of four complained. We sat outside where it is much quieter than inside. The restaurant is located in a shopping center and is next to a road. While that is not a problem, this is a place to go and have great food, but it does not have the atmosphere of the hotel restaurant on the ocean in Wailea. However, it is somewhat cheaper than the hotel restaurants, but not inexpensive. We really enjoyed eating at the Monkeypod and they use a lot of local and fresh food on their menu. I highly recommend the Monkeypod.

Nice busy ambience, good food, and great service. The highlight for us was the 'special' pie we had for dessert, with chocolate, cream, nuts and homemade caramel sauce, it was amazing!

Quite the beer lovers paradise. At least 30 on tap. But then my wife and I are not beer drinkers.

Food was so so. Uninspiring turkey burger. Might have been better if the house made bun had been toasted. If I recall it was $16 and came with a spoonful of kim chee.

The location and atmosphere were good enough but the menu was somewhat limited.

Better choices for us.
