We stayed at the grand for a week and what an amazing experience. The Humu bar/ restaurant was as we read before a bit pricey but if you go during happy hour at the bar, they do a buy one get one half off that is amazing. The bartenders were both awesome funny and fun to chat with and our service couldn't have been better. We're already planning for our trip back next year!

We arrived at Humuhumu around 5.30 so we could get a good view of the sunset over dinner and we were not disappointed. This place has a wonderful ambience and atmosphere and if you like fine dining you must come and try.

We tried the Poke and the Scallops for Pupus - delicous!
For mains it was the Filet Mignon with Garlic Mashed Potato and it was excellent.
Then it was time for dessert, a must try is the Huma Hula Pie, cant rave about it enough. Also tried the cheesecake (deconstructed) and both were was amazing.

Definitely a restaurant for a nice romantic dinner rather than a family venue. Cant complain about anything, the service was great, the food was great. Big thanks to Chef Mike and Chef Eric for their wonderful creations. I am just disappointed we left it until our last night to eat here because we definitely would have been back!

The server before the appetizers was great. She didn't come back until our meals where done. Never came back to check on us. We asked another server for something she blew us off. We ate in an hour....... So sad......

This is by far and away one of the most beautiful venues one can enjoy a dinner at sunset. Its definitely right up there with The Plantation Course restaurant. We arrived at 530 pm in order to ensure we got a table overlooking the water and sunset. The 2 for 1 entree's were an added bonus. What a way to cap off a day. Recommend you reserve a table to the right of the bar. Service was topnotch. She had recommendations and went above an beyond to find the vintage wine we wanted. For a romantic dinner, this is the place! Use Open Table to make a reservation.

We were absolutely shocked at how horrible our experience was. The menu advertised a salad as having specific ingredients, and it was missing five of the six items! Bizarre. The drinks were QUITE watery. Our server was also very disinterested in her job. When we inquired if we could get bread, she immediately snapped about the "terrible busboy". She shouldn't have insulted another employee (so unprofessional), she should have just taken care of the situation. She eventually brought our bread AFTER we had finished our entrees! And we rarely saw this server, we spent a lot of time waiting for her to come around. She never inquired as to whether we liked our appetizers, our entrees, or our dessert. We observed her spending a lot of time chatting with other employees, and not coming to our table. It took over 30 minutes to get her to deliver the check, and another 30 minutes to bring back the completed slip and return our credit card. All this time we observed her chatting away with other employees. Between the bland food, watery drinks, and horrible "service", I would recommend RUNNING (not walking) to any restaurant BUT his one! Such a disappointing (and very expensive) experience.
