Tasty Pita and fish sandwiches and salads - the one in Kihei is cheaper than the one in Wailea. Somewhat of a tourist trap.

The owner serves up freshly caught, well-prepared fish that he caught from his own boat. The menu contains a lot of fresh vegetables and salads, and the meals we had were all very good. Good wine list. Slightly upscale. Nice outdoor patio.

We stumbled across Pita Paradise when the wait for dinner at another restaurant was too long.
Based upon the name, we were assuming something similar to fast food. It was impressively upscale; the decor, atmosphere, and food. Prices were less that typical Wailea, and the service was pretty good. We loved all the dishes ordered, including the appetizer platter, gods platter and baklava ice cream cake. Definitely recommend it if you are in the area. Its even walking distance from the Marriott.

The food was, at best, okay. The outside patio was right next to the parking lot where someone had left their car running. We had to make a couple of small requests to change our order due to allergies and they happily accommodated. No wonder, when the bill came an additional $4 meal was tacked onto the bill. We expressed our surprise and said that we would have liked to have been told about the charges at the time, the server rudely shot back saying "you didn't ask". There was nothing visible on the menu about the cost to make changes. Much unpleasantness later, the manager agreed to remove a portion of the charges. Overall, even with the issue aside, this place wasn't worth visit.

Its not easy to find a reasonably priced dinner in wailea, but this place offers it. The veggie app platter was delicious, especially the falafel, and the last entree, a fish and salad combination, was tasty too. Prompt service, casual setting.
