“Went for the view but...”
Reviewed September 26, 2012 via mobile

We went here mainly because the view was supposed to be spectacular. I guess it was our own fault for going after dark. Hence, there really was no view to speak of. So definitely go for an early dinner!! The food was really good. I had the ahi and it was excellent quality. Fabulous sauce and accompnimants. The mushroom polenta appetizer was very delicious. The butter lettuce salad was quite bland but very fresh. My husband had fresh mahi - said it was good but not great. The overall atmosphere was a bit stuffy without the view. It felt a little dated. They were not crowded yet they sat another table right next to us which was annoying. Our table of 5 was a bit loud and we had a few glances from the next table. Yummy Mai Tai's. Ok wine list. The service was very good!! And that was nice.

“Great breakfast”
Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

Go in the morning for a fantastic breakfast with an amazing view. Our server was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. My wife's omelet was huge and the potatoes were also very good. My loco moco was delicious, with the eggs perfectly fried and the rice very flavorful, with the fried onion straws on top completing the plate. We also enjoy the happy hour at Red Bar. The bartenders are friendly and speak highly about working there, which is nice to hear. The bar food is terrific and a great bargain. We especially love the crab sliders, dip, and onion rings.

Love the RedBar. Great happy hour, great bartenders, great view! Go a little more upscale for dinner in the restaurant, or grab a casual lunch after your round of golf.

“Bev Gannon has better”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Sits on a golf course and her better restaurant Haliimaile General Store is a must visit. Just didn't have the same vibrancy or atmosphere. Had the crab, lobster, and tomato tower - surprisingly flavorless, scallops - good, pasta - not memorable. If you do plan on visiting both, save your receipt, you get a discount on the 2nd restaurant, which is a nice touch.

“nice change of pace”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Had the Ono, very good, probably best meal we had while in Maui. Service was a little thin but it's hard to leave the Four Seasons once you get there.
