I am so happy that there is a separate entry for Madara from the Marriott Wailea. The reason? Our experience at the Marriott has been fantastic and I would hate to have to undermine that experience by posting my review for the Mandara Spa under the Marriott entry.
First of all, hard to get anyone one the phone at the spa. I was put on hold and no answer. I left a vm. Nobody bothered to call me back. I went to the Spa and mentioned that I could not make one over the phone so had to visit in person. No apology
I did make an appointment only to have Tiffany call me the next day and say the appointment had to be cancelled. Unacceptable. We had planned out the day based on this and now we get a call saying it was cancelled? I asked for some type of compensation.
Just to show you how clueless these guys are and how they are in immediate need of customer training--let me share her response. "We will waive the 24 hour cancellation fee so you won't get charged." Let me get this straight--you guys cancel on me and you are going to waive the cancellation fee? Unbelievable
They did call later to offer a 30 minute scrub package
The whole experience was just unfortunate -- especially since everything else at this hotel has been great.
My advice--head to Kihea and get a massage for half the price
