“The best food and service you'll find in Wailea!”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

As someone who travels for a living, I have experienced many restaurants around the world. The food and service at Ko is unparallelled. I try to eat healthy, which can be challenging when you are traveling. Ko has a fabulous menu which caters to many different dietary concerns. They offer a nice selection of fresh, nutritious menu items from appetizer to dessert which taste fabulous. They will also honor special requests. The service is unmatched. We were there recently to celebrate the Birthday of someone in our group and Kas and Roland both went out of their way to ensure that it was the best Birthday dinner ever for our guest. I have rarely, if ever, have experienced this level of service! Thank you both for making our evening a memorable one! I look forward to recommending Ko to my friends. We will be back.

“Sweet memories of fish gone by....”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

I grew up with an uncle who fished Midway Islands for aku (tuna). And when he came back after a week on the ocean, he invariably ate fish. So needless to say, I ate a lot of top quality fish, the freshest one could find. This is where KO restaurant comes in. I love their steamed ginger fish (I recommend the monchong if they have it) with jasmine rice and baby bok choy greens. I dump the rice into the steamed fish bowl with Chinese lupchong sausage slivers and it soaks up all the broth and wow! talk about delicate flavors dancing on your tongue. Just remember to eat slowly....savor every bite. It'll be gone before you realize it. Best thing is that you can always go back. Oh, did I mention the hoisin lamb?

“good but not great”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

I thought this was a bit hyped. It was named best restaurant of 2013 by a publication and I thought the service was just ok and the food good but not great. You could tell this restaurant was owned/managed by the hotel and Nick's is a separate company that is located at the hotel. Go to Nick's!!

Thank you for your honest review. While we are extremely proud of receiving the Restaurant of the Year award, we're very sorry that you feel it wasn't deserved. We sincerely hope you will return and allow us the opportunity to provide an amazing dining experience in the future. Best wishes and thank you again.

“Excellent food, ambiance. Good service”

Good experience. Food well prepared with good ingredients and nicely presented. Dining outdoor so not an option if raining. Scenic view and they cater to children. Overall a very good experience. Worth going back to.
