“LOVED KO!”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

My friends have been raving about Ko for months now and so my fiance and I finally had an opportunity to try it out. We did a staycation at the Fairmont and ended up eating at Ko almost every meal for four days. We had somewhat casual poolside lunch the first day which was amazing. We had the kalua pork flatbread, the macrobiotic meal and the fresh opah special. EVERYTHING was fantastic, and the best part is they had food on the menu that pleased everyone (vegan, macrobiotic and beer and pizza!). We also had an amazing dinner for six one night and everyone loved it. The service was excellent and Dillon, the manager, made sure we were well taken care off all night. We will be back and back and back. Finally a place that caters to all of our many friends and familie's food preferences, while serving delicious food that we can all enjoy at a great Kama'aina price. The complimentary bread/rice cake with hummus and lavender butter is such a nice touch too.

“Disappointing food”
Reviewed June 5, 2013 via mobile

We were staying at the resort and decided to dine at Ko after hearing all the positive reviews and recommendations. We dressed up for the occasion which was totally unnecessary as no one else seemed to bother. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience with the exception of the food which we would best describe as uninspiring. I had the surf and turf special and ordered a medium rare steak. It was overcooked, chewy and overall, not a particularly nice cut of meat. The lobster tail was bland. My wife had the lobster which she enjoyed but there was no wow factor. Everything else about Ko was first rate but the food did not represent good value for money.

Thank you for dining at Kō. It’s wonderful that your overall experience was a pleasant one, however it’s upsetting to learn that the cuisine and value left you unimpressed. Please accept our deepest apology and consider returning in the future so we can provide an all-around perfect dining experience. Mahalo and best wishes.

“Amazing food!!!”
Reviewed June 4, 2013 via mobile

Our last night at The Fairmont and we treated ourselves to dinner at Ko. The food was exceptional. We chose the special 3 course dinner that opened with an amazing burst of flavour ... Tempura sushi. This was followed by the beautifully presented tempura lobster and also the seafood Paella! Once again flavours and presentation were perfect. The meal ended with the light and melt in your mouth ginger cheesecake . The assortment of breads and dips at the start were a treat. Service friendly and attentive. Thanks for a meal to remember!

“Great Dinner!”
Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed an evening dining at Ko. The setting is casual and lively, yet sophisticated. Live music was fun. Our server Hannah was the perfect combination of knowledge and hospitality, without being too formal. And the other staff were equally filled with an Aloha-spirit. But most importantly, the food was delicious - seared Ahi on a hot rock, tiger prawns, Oishi sushi, zarzuela (cioppino-like), lobster tempura, and a trio of desserts - pineapple upside down cake, kula strawberry gelato, and ginger cheesecake! Yes we ate too much, but it was worth it. Highly recommend it!

Aloha! We sincerely appreciated you taking the time to share just how much you enjoyed your entire dining experience, from the ambiance to the food and everything in between. It’s sound as though we accomplished exactly what we strive to achieve, and for that we couldn’t be happier. Please make sure to the next time you are visiting Maui to come see us again! Mahao and best wishes.

“Great Maui Restaurant”
Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

So happy there are great reviews for this wonderful Maui restaurant. Live here and have been at least 10 times. Go for birthdays or a quick meal at the bar. The staff is extremely accommodating and the updated menu has options for every dietary need (vegan, gkuten free, heart healthy, etc...). The watercress salad with lilikoi vanilla dressing is my new favorite! The raw main course salad with kale & mac nuts is delicious. Great atmosphere and live music. The bread basket with a variety of spreads is a nice touch. One of my go to places when I want a great meal and relaxing experience! A Maui Must Do!
