Whether or not you are traveling with kids, the Grand Wailea will guarantee you an amazing trip! The hotel has endless opportunities for fun for adults (spa, adults only pool, beautiful beaches and pools) or for families! The waterslides provide endless fun for children of all ages and the staff is just incredible! Although the hotel is expensive, it is worth every penny!

Room Tip: Get a room with an ocean view - they are spectacular!

We spent a week at the Grand Wailea, and had a great time. We have spent time here on our honeymoon as well as with our 2 young children, and there is always something for everyone. The pool is absolutely fantastic! Great service, great food, and beautiful grounds. Wonderful beach location. I didn't give an "Excellent" rating because I just feel the pricing astronomical, unnecessarily.

The property, views and amenties at this hotel are outstanding and highly recommended. I had some very good service experiences, but also was disappointed in a few instances with the service -- and even more with the response when I communicated my displeasure to the Guest Relations Manager.

After just getting back from my 3rd year anniversary beach trip with my wife and toddler from a trip to myrtle beach and experiencing a horrible resort experience and overall poor trip. I just left my first review on trip advisor reviewing that so called resort. This has inspired me 3 years later, to leave a positive review for the resort experience we had at Grand Wailea Resort.

This resort sets the stage for how resort experiences are supposed to be. I honestly have only one negative to report that I even remember about this place is the cost of rooms, room service, and valet. HOWEVER, if this is what it takes to get treated the way we were, so be it. Ill pay it and be happy! We were greated with flower lays (spelling) the first nite upon arrival and check in, everyone was so nice and in the hawaiian spirit. It was great! the resort is over the top with the grounds, gardens, an beaches. The pools were awesome and my toddler wouldve loved to been there. The breakfast in the mornings though it is pricey is one of the best I have ever had, the environment on the deck/balcony eating those mornings stands out as highlights on my honeymoon. The rooms were very very clean, and nice. the views were great!

The spa we didnt utitlize due to the prices and I dont like massages. but we walked through there and it was glitz and glam style spa... smelled great and the relaxing environment was awesome!

The chapel had a wedding while we were there it was very nice... and Im sure that the couple will never forget that day.
We actually stayed in June of 2011 but trip advisor wont let me put that date.

Room service food was great!
We will be back someday (when we can afford it).

Room Tip: we had a step up from the lowest priced room on the ground level. We were right infront of a pond w...

Despite the fact that the Grand Wailea is beginning to age, the hotel still is beautiful. The cascading waterfalls and spectacular courtyard that greet you upon your arrival to the hotel are awesome. Also, the beds are ridiculously comfortable and the extensive pool and palm tree lined path are both very nice. To go along with this, the hotel has a great location that is close to a shopping center with very good restaurants and designer stores. However, for how expensive the hotel is, it might make more sense for some to stay at the Four Seasons, Fairmont, or Ritz Carlton.

Considered to be on the Rodeo Dr of Maui. This resort doesn't disappoint. Upgrade to one of the suites on the 7th or 8th floor. They have their own private concierge, drinks, and meals very conveniently.

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms

Aloha,

Thank you for a wonderful review and a great tip. The Napua Tower is like a hotel within a hotel and does come with some great perks, like breakfast, tea and cookies in the afternoon, cocktails and pupus in the evening, and your own concierge. We are so glad that you enjoyed it!
