“not even”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

we read about this place in the local paper. the paper was much too kind. there is nothing to recommend going to this place. the server was very nice, incompetent but nice. we asked for water four times before we saw any, we ordered some food that never arrived, and the food that did come out was not at a temperature (not spice wise, thermometer wise) which would indicate it was just prepared. we have been to spain numerous times, have tried making some of the dishes we ordered (some were flops, others really good) and had high hopes (considering we live in north denver). it just wasn't to be. those who complained of the noise, i concur. same with bad service. if you want good spanish, try 9th door or that little dive across from the aquarium.

“The Service was so bad we never got to eat or drink”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

The waiter was indifferent upon arriving, we had no menus, we were in the restaurant for at least 30-45 minutes and did not even have a drink. Disappointed with the unprofessionalism, we choose to leave. First impressions are lasting impressions. BUYER BEWARE!

“Good Change of Pace”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Tried this after reading a review. We enjoy tapas and it is great to find such cuisine in the County Line area.

The octopus was very good and served with some sautéed potatoes that were richly infused with butter or olive oil. Likewise, the seafood salad was a winner. Albondigas were flavorful. They offer one of the better sangrias I have tried too.

Only low points were the patatas bravas which were under spiced and the bread could have had a denser texture and more robust taste.

Bottom line, this is a good restaurant to include in a regular rotation and we will be returning and testing other items on the menu.

“Food fair, service bad, noise horrific.”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Four of us dined at Tapas d’Jerez on Saturday evening, July 27, 2013. The week prior, the Denver Post gave this restaurant a stellar review. Unfortunately for us this review resulted in hordes of people descending on the restaurant to try it out. The net effect was very poor service. We had to beg for a waitperson to be assigned to our table. One of the wait staff came to our table and took a drink order and seemingly disappeared after bringing half of our drink order. A little later another wait person came by and finished the drink order for us. Then, this second waitperson kept badgering us to take our order. We had to shoo her away a couple of times while we tried to enjoy our wine, have a little conversation, and peruse the menu. After that things improved a bit. The tapas were quite good. The paella, however, was way overcooked and it was apparent it had been sitting around for awhile. The flan was very good. The wines were excellent. We think we will give this place another try after things have settled down a bit, perhaps on a Tuesday evening when restaurants tend to be slower. Also, the noise level was ferocious. Not a relaxing environment at all.

“Awesome food but plz hire better wait staff”
Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

Lovely food and atmosphere. Paella was fabulous. Highly recommend this place. Only suggestion to restaurant is hiring better wait staff. Ours forgot about us and when I walked by the kitchen to use the restroom, he was shooting the breeze in there with others. I had to get up and go ask for the check which I hate doing.
