The air conditioning in the lower room is very loud. Food and location good, but far away from city center, need to take taxi to get there. Both sides of the building close to sea, really very nice location in the morning especially.

It is a very beautiful casa but not the best in Punta Gorda. Most of the casa in that area have stunning views and are very nice.

When we first arrived, Zunilda was not home therefore we were welcomed by her daughter who is unfriendly. She doesn't speak nor understand English so we had a problem to communicate with her. However Zunilda and her husband were very friendly.

My friend and I were traveling on budget so we tried our best to save money on food and transportation. Zunilda wanted to recommend us a driver that can take us to El Nicho Waterfalls but it takes 50-60 CUC for return. So we found ourselves for 30 CUC. It was a very old car and it has no air conditioning but we doesn't mind as long as the driver takes us there safely. When we told her about the price, she gave us a look of that's impossible. Of course when she saw the car she gave us another look of that car? I felt like she became very unfriendly with us after we rejected having dinner at her place which is 10 CUC person not included drinks and other offers like drivers etc. Laundry can also be expensive so make sure you ask before you give her your clothes.

The house is located on the Punta Gorda. Because of that you have a sea view from the front and from the backyard. It is also possible to go swim at the tip of the point (but bring some sea shoes). The house is well maintained and beautifully decorated, especialy the gardens. It is close to the town center. The host are welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious.

Zunilda's casa was the best B&B we stayed in during our journey. The location is great - right next to the sea and in walking-distance to the city centers. Zunilda and Raya were the best hosts in the whole country - they are enormously friendly, helpful and provide delicious food.

This casa is located at the end of Punta Gorda (near the park) which means that there is sea on both sides. At the front you can sit outside on the veranda and look towards the sunset over the (very quiet) road. At the back the garden/yard leads down into the sea. You can put a chair on a step in the sea and sit with your feet in the water whilst the pelicans fly past. There are also sunbeds and rocking chairs in there together with 2 tables for meals. It is some way out of the town but you can walk there along the Malecon and there are plenty of bicitaxis (rickshaws). On your way you pass amazing buildings once owned by the mafia.
This was a more modern house than the others we stayed in. We stayed in both rooms. On the first night we stayed in the front room which is downstairs and looks out onto the veranda and then out to sea. The following day the back room, which is upstairs with a balcony, rocking chair and a view over the bay became available and we moved there for 2 nights. Both had nice furniture and en suite, with good water pressure. The whole place was scrupulously clean and tidy.
The owners and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We were given mango juice on arrival and invited to sit down and relax. Raya especially speaks good English if that’s important to you. They arranged for a bicitaxi to take us to town and a taxi to take us to El Nicho falls and another to the Viazul.
Zunilda is a very good cook. We ate at the casa every morning and evening. Breakfast started with the typical fruit platter, followed by eggs, cheese and ham toasty, bread, pastries, juice and coffee and was a little bit different every day. For dinner we had fish, shrimp and chicken, each wonderfully cooked with subtle spices. There was soup for starter and on two days the national dessert – a flan (crème caramel) with ice cream on the third. There was also a fruit platter. It was all delicious, as were the mojitos and cuba libra and everything was complemented by the view.
Thank you Raya and Zunilda for a lovely stay.

What a location - near the end of the point with the sea lapping the terrace. We felt totally happy here - great cooking / comfortable rooms / lovely atmosphere and charming hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. It does not matter at all that the point is 15/20 mins from the town - this is truly a great spot and it is easy to hail a taxi to take you either to the town of Cienfuegos or the beach or elsewhere. Really excellent casa - you will love it.

This casa has an amazing location with beautiful views of the water from both the front and the back. The back terrace is gorgeous and you can have breakfast and dinner there while the waves gently lap at the bottom of the garden.. Zunila and Raya were so warm and welcoming and it was a pleasure to stay there. We were greeted with some delicious mango smoothie and fruit on arrival. We also had dinner here and it was the best food we had in Cuba. If you go to Cienfuegos, I'd recommend staying here 100%!
