“A fun place with good food and enthusiastic staff”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

A modern restaurant and quite different from eveything else on Cuba. We, a small family of three, had a very nice lunch here in Nowember. The interior offers a lot of interest for both kids and grown ups, and we were all taken very well care of. The food was of good quality, very nicely presented and in generous portions.

“Best Flan ever!”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

The owner and staff are really eager to please and make your dining experience joyful and memorable. The food was not the best to me, I ordered a seafood medley of shrimp, fish and lobster. I only ate the fish and lobster as the shrimp were too difficult for me to get to. The owner is just awesome and his hospitality makes up for everything else. Ordinarily I can't stand the consistency of custard, pudding, etc. well this place has the best flan you will ever taste. I would recommend you go there just for the flan, it's worth the trip.

“A gem on the southern coast of Cuba”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

El Tranvia is a lovely little reataurant in Cienfuegos, Cuba. The owner and staff are very friendly and eager to please. The atmosphere is built to resemble a train station with the waiters and waitress smartly dressed in conductor uniforms. There is even a trolly inside the restaurant that serves as a bar.

The lobster that I has was nicely grilled, fresh and meaty, The sides were the normal ones you will find in Cuba.

“Magical Night”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Great experience--delicious seafood, fun decor with the old street car and excellent service. Wonderful, memorable ambiance. So many unforgettable touches...the singer named Elvis, the red, white and blue cocktail, and the back story the restaurant owner told us after the meal about his time in the US and his desire to come home. A night to remember!!!

We were on a trip through Cuba with a group of people & we all came to this fun place in vintage cars from our hotel. We were greated warmly by the staff all dressed as tram conductors. Big smiles and lots of fun. We went up stairs to see the tram tghey have using it as a bar.. The food we ate was good including seafood The beer was cold the cocktails were ok.The staff are from univeristy & they are very keen to work & learn English. We had a two member band who were from a loval church and they played great music all night long ending in us & staff having a sing along. Great nnight out had by all thanks
