“Where healthy tastes good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

The Green Door is my favourite place to eat. The staff are pleasant and the food is freshly made and well thought out by people who care about what they do. Even though the menu isn't large, it's hard to decide, especially with changing specials and soups. It's great just having a scone with fruit and coffee and watching the street.

“The Green Door gets 5 STAR RATING”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

We discovered this small Wiarton restaurant some years ago, and now always make a point of going there whenever we are in town. It is a casual place with excellent food and service. It has had a "makeover" and is now spruced up to look quite sofisticated, but it's busy so be prepaired to wait if you don't reserve a table at lunchtime. The food is fresh, imaginative and well presented by cheerful staff. They also do a fine catering service (see some of the comments on their website). I had a yummy grilled advocado and cheese panini and the other meal was chicken with a huge amount of fresh fruit with a raspberry dressing. A treat from start to finnish!

“Always good”

We have never been dissatisfied. Have been going there for years. If you have a problem I know the staff and owners won't hesitate to make things right.

“This place won't disappoint. Very satisfied.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

I'm enjoying the last week of summer up in the Bruce and went into town to do laundry. While I was there I spotted this small, cozy restaurant and 2 others. After checking all the reviews of tripadvisor 1st we decided on lunch at the Green Door Cafe in Wiarton and it didn't disappoint.

We started with the deep fried pickle spears and two ice cold cans of diet Pepsi. The pickle spears were the best I've ever had and they were homemade!

From there I ordered the white fish and chips. It was cooked to perfection! The only dusapointment was that they serve store bought tarter sauce (I was expecting homemade).

My sister got the daily tomato basil soup and the quiche. Both were yummy but he soup was A+

I would recommend this place and will definitely go back.

“Great breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

Our group was stopping for breakfast in Wiarton. Coal Shed Willies - not open til late AM; librarian said she had moved to Wiarton a month ago and hadn't found a good early (8:30AM is early!) restaurant for breakfast, sent us to the Spirit Rock Motel/Restaurant - also closed but sent us to the Green Door, and it was open. Looked like a little coffee shop and had to take our group's orders (11 of 'em) one at a time at the register, but we ate quite well. Getting a salad with my eggs was a first, but it was very good eating!
