“Overpriced, damp, not ideal for children or elders”

It's a nice area, very scenic. It's a home that feels like a cottage. Not finished and at various stages of renovation throughout. Many open outlets, and unconnected cables. Many rooms not trimmed and plywood floor in the main bathroom. Again not finished.Very damp and musty so not great for those that are allergenic as I am . Lot is cluttered, unkept and poses many hazards for small children and elders. Stairs to lake and there are many are partially renewed with the largest section desperately waiting. I was a bit nervous walking down them. Staircases in the house again are not properly finished an pose a trip hazard and unstable footing. We had to move a table at the top of the stairs to eliminate a serious tripping hazard which we discovered with a near accident at the top of staircase.
The kitchen was roomy, master bathroom okay for smaller people and the drain does not drain. So you end up in a bath. Watch the bathroom sinks as they are not secured to the walls.
If you plan just to sit on the deck for the week it's fine. You cannot swim there, its rocky, weedy and the water murky. Shoes required for sure. There is nowhere to walk except on the road so you definitely need a car to get to trails etc.
I thought it was overpriced even though it was fairly well appointed with all the necessities. There was a canoe but no paddles etc. Lots and lots of mosquitoes however, don't plan on sitting out in the evening without heavy doses of spray. But again no lighting on the deck just an open outlet with wiring exposed with Marr connectors. You will even need spray inside the house if you have the patio doors open. Both upper and lower patio screens are not properly adjusted and the bugs get through without a problem. Without the patio doors open you will roast as there is no air conditioning. We were fortunate it was a cool week. Beds are mediocre at best.
I liked some aspects of the place but not enough to ever go back.
