It was another in a long line of cold days, and we were chilled and hungry after our drive from London. Coming in the door we were immediately given a friendly greeting by our waitress and Pat behind the counter. This was followed 2 seconds later by really good hot coffee and an amusing comic book style menu with lots of hearty choices; I'd heard that the smoked meat was the not-to-miss specialty, but was swayed by the potato chip crusted cod. It didn't disappoint, perfectly done, outside crispy and the fish inside moist. The homemade fries and coleslaw were excellent too. We were made to feel welcome, as were all the customers, who obviously know a good thing. We'll be back soon.

We found this place quite by accident. Wish we knew about this place sooner!
We have had several excellent lunches here. There 1 pound sandwich (which we share) with types of smoked meat on it is to die for. The French fries are hand cut and done just right.
We had breakfast there the other day...smoked ham, bacon and the best breakfast sausages I have ever had. We loved Cracker Barrel in the states for their smoked breakfast meats, but they can not stand up to this breakfast!
The service is excellent which is another plus for this restaurant.
We will be back!

OMG where to start? We entered a small, eatery, and found ourselves a table, among delicious aroma's. Once seated we were greeted by a spunky friendly waitress, who immediately had us smiling. THEN she handed us an eye catching, retro menu, that had my fingers itching to "borrow" one to keep(wish I had of now :( ) We made our selections, and settled in for a wait. To our surprise and delight.....the wait was short, and the food that arrived, promised to make sure we didn't leave hungry!! It was THE BEST we'd had in quite awhile. Of course....we had to try a little desert, and then went to pay our "modest" bill, considering the quantity and quality of the food we'd had!! We had a wonderful conversation with "Kevin" and left promising we'd be back......and hopefully soon!!!

Great little diner. The smoked meat poutine is to die for! The sandwiches are pretty good too. We had the chicken little, the farm boy and a couple of smoked meat sandwiches. They were practically inhaled. If you like meat, you should to check this place out. For seasoned smoked meat sandwich aficionados, order the half pound version, otherwise it's a bit disappointing. Also, don't expect it to be Schwartz's, but the meat is tender and quite tasty. The service is great and the staff is friendly. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, don't want anything too fancy and love meat, give Pat and Kevin a try!

We had breakfast there once. The prices are very reasonable. The service was very friendly. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. The staff seemed to enjoy working there and with each other. We enjoyed watching some of the "characters" who congregate at the old Woolworth lunch counter. We were amused by the many humorous signs and sayings on the walls.
