The room was fresh, wonderfully decorated and outfitted with most of the comforts of home such as a mini-fridge and fireplace. I would definately stay there again! The only thing that would make the hotel 5 star would be the addition of pool/hot tub facilities.

This was a great place to catch a good night sleep. Unfortunately we didn't arrive until late and we checked out early!

The only reason our review is not EXCELLENT is that we didn't get a chance to experience the full property. (Our hunch is everything else would have been Excellent).

The rooms were very nice - pleasantly surprised to see hardwood floors when we entered the room. The large, standup, glass enclosed shower was great!

It was too warm to use the in-room fireplace but it was a definite "plus" to have in the room.

We'd stay again - hopefully with more time on the next visit to Goderich.

(It was convenient to downtown Goderich - just far enough out of town to feel removed, but not enough to be inconvenient.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us, always appreciated! Hopefully next stay you will be able to enjoy our food service, made fresh in our kitchen. And, yes, we're a very quick trip into town, but it's nice to relax in a riverview room away from the hustle and bustle.

We were meeting friends in Bayfield for the day but one look at the prices for The Little Inn sent us looking for more reasonable options. Samuels Hotel in Goderich fit the bill perfectly. Modern design, huge rooms and a very comfortable bed all added up to a great night. Next time we're back in the area, I'm hoping to stay more than just one night. Kim was also nice enough to upgrade us from a 2 Queen Bed room to a King room on the river side for no extra charge. And when we forgot our toothpaste, she was able to provide us with some for free as well.

I didn't actually stay here, as I live just in Goderich. However, the reason I came was for their new Sushi Thursdays that they are holding for the entirety of the Summer. I invited my mum to go with me, as she has never had sushi before - surprise, surprise, she gobbled up nearly half of the mixed platter that we got! We started out with the miso soup and summer rolls, shared the mixed platter of sushi rolls (which was 4 different rolls, chefs choice, 32 pieces of sushi), and then shared some dessert crepes to end the meal. I was really impressed! Sushi is something I often go to the city (Toronto) for, but now it's right in my own backyard - and it isn't the crap that you find cold at the grocery store that's probably been sitting there for awhile. A lot of love and care obviously went into making it, and some of the varieties of sushi even featured fish right from Lake Huron - a lovely local touch, I'd say. Everything tasted delicious! The Peanut & Shrimp maki was my favourite. Value was decent - we both got starters, main, dessert, and drinks, and it was about $60.

I am very glad you enjoyed our sushi. All sushi is fresh made each Thursday in our kitchen. We purchase all of our fish from Out of the Blue Fish market in Bayfield and we do feature Lake Huron fish as well as other seafood. We purchase local where possible, Bouchers Honey, Weth Mushrooms, and we grow our own herbs as well. We were quite delighted at the response we received on our opening night. We look forward to serving you and many others, each Thursday, all summer long. Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review on our boutique hotel. Your comments are much appreciated.

Booked a two night get-a-way at the Samuels Hotel and I have to say it's the nicest hotel I've stayed at in a long time. The room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will bring any visitors from the UK to Goderich and will stay at Samuels in future.
Love the town, love the hotel...love the restaurant Thyme on 21, the best meal ever!!

Room Tip: we had room 101, a view of the river from our patio very nice

I had the opportunity to enjoy a Taste of Huron, Food for Thought Dinner at Samuel's Boutique Hotel this week. Chef Kim provided a thoroughly engaging event with food that was fresh and delicious - cooked perfectly, presented beautifully. The themed dinner, Fish & Forage, featured locally-grown spring fare. We're so glad that you enjoyed our Taste of Huron Fish and Forage Dinner. It was a pleasure to serve you and from the kitchen I could hear lots of laughter from our engaging speaker, Maitland Mike. Thank you kindly for taking the time to review our dinner. We're looking forward to our next one, This Little Piggy Went to Pisa where we will feature Heritage pork with an Italian flare.

We had a relaxing time with friends with an excellent meal at Samuels Hotel. A small dining room with great service & atmosphere. Delicious food presented eloquently along with some good wine choices. Oh and don't forget the desert!
