The food and service was very good. I would recommend this facility to anyone. There is a good menu to select from. The staff were very personable. It was a unique place to visit.

The food was quite good and there was a lot of it. The servers were very friendly. Very close to the miner's museum and about the only restaurant in the area.

Cute and quaint family style restaurant in one of the old frame buildings at the Miners Museum. Lobster club sandwich with a salad was very good. Wine and beer available along with a variety of menu items from fish and chips to chowder. There were 11 of us and service was a bit slow but we all got our meals served together and the hot meals were hot!

Enjoyed lunch here after seeing the mine. Cost around $15 for fish and chips, most else is a little more expensive. They offer doggy boxes. It may rank number one as there aren't many others quite so well placed - almost part of the miners museum. Might have been nice if it offered smaller or lighter snacks but what we ate was very good indeed and lots of water with meal.

Solid lunch after visiting the coal mine. Chicken pot pie special was particularly superb. Home made pastry and filling. No mushroom a bonus for my son. Lobster roll was good but had too much mayo for my taste.
This place was right by the miners' museum which was definitely a highlight of our cape Breton trip. Not just your boring museum exhibit...got to go into the coal mine and tour was given by retired coal miner! We had Wishie Donovan and he was a great story teller and made the past conditions of miners very real! He also shared his mining experience from the 1970s with us. My 9yr old son was entranced! A must go attraction!
