I attended a photo workshop on a neighbouring adjacent property “The Kingston Photo Nature Park”.
Ridgeback Lodge is an easy walk to this area and the trails all blend into each other. The lodge is placed along a beautiful hillside with many trails of its own. A blend of hard and soft woods make for a beautiful contrast of greens, reds, yellows and many shades in between as the fall foliage is in full change.
The cabins are cedar and the beds are very comfortable, all cabins have fridges, stoves and utensils. All you need are the groceries.
There is a nice sized pond on the property, suitable for swimming and learning canoe and kayak before heading out on the creek. For bird watchers there are many native birds and in a lower pond, beaver can be watched in their habitat.
The lodge itself over looks beautiful Kingston creek. For star gazers it cannot be beaten as there is virtually no light pollution and the stars and moon can be so bright a flashlight is not needed for navigation on some nights.
