This Kosher Meat restaurant is the successor of Ayelet and Gilli which is closed.
The Chef/Owner is stil the personable Ayelet. The very tasty food is the product of her family being from Yemen, so her style is Yemenite/Israeli. Whether or not-you have tasted Yemenite cooking you are in for a treat. It is very flavorful and uses lots of subtle spices.
I was there with friends and we started with homemade Sourdough rolls with Tehina and Israeli salad with pomegranate vinaigrette dressing. My friends had Grilled chicken Breast in tzmtzori sauce, rice with almonds, sunflower & coriander seeds and Chicken schnitzel with chili sauce and 3-color Quinoa with onions, cabbage & onions. I opted for Beef shoulder slow roasted in rosemary balsamic vinegar and brown rice with almonds.
The soups are fantastic, but we were thee on a hot day and stayed away from soup. There are several vegetarian options available.
Dessert - WOW - Sesame balls filled with chunky peanut butter and chocolate covered dates stuffed with almonds.
This was a very good meal with service to match.
They have inside seating for 60 and a courtyard that seats 100. On Thursday evenings the courtyard is converted into a stage with various misical groups performing. There is also a private room seating 22 people.
