“Good hotel, great price”

We were please with our room and our stay was nice. The senior rate was reall affordable and included free breakfast and a free dinner of jumbalia with iced tea, corn bread and greens. The internet service was fast and free. The room was clean with new carpet, bedding and paint. We will stay here again in September.

I booked 2 rooms one for my husband and I the other for my parents.I can honestly say that this was by far the worse hotel we ever stayed at! Both rooms had the air conditioners off and it felt like it was 110 degrees in them. When booked in advance I am used to the air being on when we check in. But we cut them on and left (for a cooler place) for 3 hours and when we returned one room was cooler, mine was not much cooler than when we left it. They say they have coffee pots when indeed they do not! Thsy do however have the coffee maker, just not the pots! When we asked the front desk we were told they do not furnish the pots. The desk clerk said to just hold the cup under the spout to get coffee. We tried but unless there is a pot under it to depredd the spout coffee does not come out! The washcloths were stained brown (one can only wonder what that was). The hotel was shabby. People ran up and down the walkway all night yelling. We had smoking rooms but had to walk way back down to the office to ask for ashtrays. The bed was too soft and lumpy. We should have known how our stay would go when we first was trying to check in and was told we could not because the rooms were dirty, after the desk clerk rudely stayed on the phone and we stood there over 20 minutes laughing and casually (to what I presume was a friend or family member) I just know it was not customer! Needless to say we got no sleep. We could have watched tv but could'nt het any clear stations. We did try to go swimming, but the pool area was full of unsupervised kids, But I guess it was relaxing to sit wand watch the bugs swimming around in the hotels tiny pool. For next years tournament we will all stay elsewhere or even in my suv, at least it's clean!

Room Tip: Pass up Days inn!

We enjoyed our stay at the Days Inn Hotel. The price was just what we were looking for and the price came with breakfast and supper. The rooms were clean and well appointed with everthing that we needed. The hotel was quite and the staff was super helpful and firndly. We did not use the pool but did enjoy sitting in the rocking chairs while doing our laundry at the onsite laundry. This hotel offers a lot for a reasonable price.

If it hadn't been evening and if we hadn't been tired after a day of driving, we would have kept driving . . . to another hotel. TV reception on the aged SANYO set was terrible; there were stains on the bedding; the bath area was not clean (hairs); the toilet rocked back and forth; it took two hours for the AC unit to cool the room; and the exterior was grubby and the walkways were flaking paint. The facility should be "delisted" until it is brought up to par with what a traveler expects at a national hotel franchise. To be fair, the beds were comfortable and the bedding felt and smelled freshly laundered. Breakfast was satisfactory; however, the breakfast area itself was very tired-looking, like the rest of the premises.

Dear Travelers;
Thank you for taking the time to critique our property. We do value all comments and try very hard to improve . We are in the process of repainting the sidewalks, that is the reason for the paint flakes. I will have another training session with the housekeepers as to the cleaning of the rooms, especially the bath area.

Thank you again for your time.

Sincerely

Jack Cole

This hotel could use some remodelling.
The place looks a bit shabby and old.
Everything in our room was clean en still worked thou.

With a little work on the looks this would be a very nice place because the staff was very friendly and the complementary breakfast very nice.

Although the hotel information boasted of its "southern hospitality", southern hostility would have been a better description of the attitude of the staff - when we walked into the lobby in a rainstorm, one clerk looked right through us, the other waited a minute and said he'd get to us when he'd done with his computer. The rooms were filthy and the fridge didn't work. When we were asked about "how y'all enjoyed your stay" the next morning, my comment that the room was filthy was met with an enjoinder to "have a nice day now". Not even an apology for the poor experience.

On a two week road trip through the south, nowhere else did we encounter anything like this. In fact even in England I've never encountered anything like this (and the English certainly understand how to deliver bad service).

If you're in Natchez without a booking - don't be tempted by this one.

We here at the Days Inn of Natchez work very hard to make our customers happy and occasionally we are not successful. This seems to have been one of those times and I am very sorry that you had a terrible stay with us.

Southern Hospitality is a priority and is stressed in all of our training. I will personally see that your comments are shared with all of my desk staff and see to it that the attitude you encountered is corrected.

Thank you again for taking the time to relate your experience on this website so we have the opportunity to correct the situation.

Sincerely

Jack Cole GM
