My wife and I have stayed in several B&B's in Natchez. This visit to The Cedars was certainly the best experience we've ever had. The house and grounds are spectacular, but the personal attention is what made the stay exceptional. We felt like we were guests in a friend's home instead of tourists.
The house was built in the 1850's but because it was recently used as the owners' private residence, the furnishings are comfortable and high-quality, but not all antebellum. The grounds and ultra-modern pool and cabana are spectacular. There are two ponds, swans, a gazebo, and too many other features to list. The only possible downside is the location outside of town, but the trade-off is the beautiful and tranquil setting.
In my opinion it's the ideal combination when visiting this great old city.
