Having become Trip Advisor's #1 B&B, already, this lovely property and its hosts already have demonstrated that they offer something special. Therefore, the focus of my review is to encourage those interested in grabbing every National Park passport stamp to consider a vacation in Natchez in general and this Inn in particular. This was a wonderful place to relax and slumber after following busy daily schedules of battlefield , antebellum mansions and museum tours.
For myself, I was delighted to garner 4 site stamps north to the Vicksburg Battlefield and enjoy ranger talks about the battle ,as well as the added surprise of the restoration project of an ironclad battle ship raised from the mud with its paddlewheel, artifacts and historic context all wonderfully presented.
Returning to a stunningly formal, but welcoming stately home of a bygone era for rest and refreshment was marvelous. Note that there are quite a number of B&Bs nearby around downtown Natchez, but with only three guest suites available, this large mansion feels like it belongs just to you. Of course that ambience is created by the hosts who deserve their Trip Advisor reward.
I would definitely return because I could not see all the sites of interest to me. There is way more in Natchez (another 4 Nat park venues in town alone) Enjoy!

Room tip: Unique bedrooms, let hosts select after hearing your preferences

Don and Doug made sure we felt right at home, just in another century. From homemade chocolate chip chocolate cookies to homemade banana nut muffins to blueberry French toast to mint julep at cocktail hour, we were well taken care of throughout the day. The home is gorgeous and authentic to the period. We spent a lot of time on the sun porch and outdoor patio playing games. We also fell in love with Rocco and Evangeline, the feline keepers of the yard. Would absolutely recommend and encourage people to stay here.

We've stayed at Oak Hill Inn on several occasions and it always exceeds expectations- it's so incredibly special. Hosts Don and Doug did a spectacular job of welcoming us and serving us the most delicious breakfasts (eggs Benedict, peach french toast shuffle, fresh fruit compote etc. yum!) on beautiful heirloom china. Such a nice early morning touch is the silver samovar with coffee in the light filled loggia which overlooks the patio and fountain. Since my husband is a history buff, we took a side trip to Vicksburg to see the battlefield. Otherwise we viewed Antebellum homes in Natchez and went antiquing and shopping. Our hosts were knowledgable in pointing us in the right direction for restaurants and points of interest. It was hard leaving such perfection and going back to the real world but we'll be back.

Room tip: We've stayed in every room and they are all charming but we tend to favor the Beatty Suite which is the largest and has a beautiful bathroom with a rainfall shower and granite walls. It's really special to wake up in a tester bed (in the Beatty or the Blue Room) and see the gorgeous fabric above with the center rosette. It's so luxurious. But the Myrtle Room is adorable too. It's like trying to pick your favorite child.

From the beautiful setting and lovely room to the delicious breakfast, it was a wonderful experience. The owners were so kind and helpful in telling us about the area and what to see and do. I would stay there again in a heart beat! The breakfast was the best I have ever had! It was special to dine with fine china and lovely table setting.

Room tip: Three rooms to choose from/lower level and upstairs.

Just returned home from the annual Natchez Antiques Forum. We stayed in the Oak Hill Inn and the forum was wonderful but the highlight of the trip was our accommodations. Our hosts made us feel that we were staying with friends. Everything was perfect, comfortable, delicious and exquisite. What a wonderful experience. I look forward to a return visit.
