“Everything was great!”
Reviewed September 15, 2008

We chose Oak Hill for our 1 year anniversary getaway and were not disappointed in any way. The house and property were stunning, the room was cozy, the breakfast was delicious, and the host was as hospitable as you can be. Everything about our trip was a joy even down to the chocolate chip cookies left out during the day for hungry guests. We look forward to going back soon!

I stayed only one night with a business colleague and wish I could have stayed longer. Natchez is better than advertised and so is Oak Hill. The personalized home tour was delightful, just the right mix of family history, architectural history, and story-telling. Thank you so much for opening your lovely home. I ate both of the muffins packed for the two of us--I didn't share!

My new husband and I honeymooned in Natchez, Mississippi and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at the Historic Oak Hill Inn. My favorite part and the thing I can't stop thinking about is each morning's home cooked breakfast! You have to taste it to believe it....I have a smile on my face and a rumble in my tummy as I think about the creme brulee french toast, the sweet potato waffles, the banana nut muffins...trust me, you'll go to bed each night dreaming about the next morning's breakfast! The home has been so lovingly and beautifully restored. Doug gives a great tour of the home and is ever ready to give suggestions on places to see and things to do while you are in town. We stayed in the Beatty Suite, which has all the comforts of home and gives you great access to the home's library. Throughout the home, the attention to detail-from the home's furnishings and art to the sweet flower placed on the saucer of your morning cup of coffee-will give you a sense of how welcome you are. We can't wait to return to what my husband and I hope to make our "home away from home" in Natchez, Mississippi.

My wife and I stayed at the Historic Oak Hill Inn for our honeymoon in July 2008. It was the highlight of our trip! Doug and Don's breakfast were the best meals we had in Natchez- 4 days in a row! We couldn't be happier with our stay and look forward to staying there again.

My daughter and grandchildren, ages 10 and 13, and I spent a wonderful relaxing time at the Oak Hill Inn. We were greeted with iced tea and warm chocolate chip cookies. The house is beautifully appointed. We spent time in the library reading and talking, sitting on the front porch petting Evangeline, the resident cat, and walking the beautiful grounds. The breakfast was outstandingly delicious and served in a grand Southern style in the formal dining room. We were given a complete tour of the home after breakfast by the very friendly and knowledgable owner. I would recommend Oak Hill Inn to anyone that wants to relax and imagine what life was like in Natchez a hundred years ago! The owner gave us good tips on things to do and see in Natchez and even recommended good restaurants appropriate for our group!

One of our top B&B finds ever. A lovely, intimate, thoughtfully restored property that gives the antebellum home experience along with the personal attention that makes it seem like staying with old friends. We stayed three nights in the beautifully appointed, antique-filled ground floor Beatty suite and enjoyed every minute of it. This B&B is perfect for the first time Natchez visitor (like we were) because the personable owner/host is on site and eagerly gives advice on restaurants, what house tours are a must, shopping and other sights. Awesome breakfasts (in quality, quantity and variety) beautifully served in the formal dining room. Leisurely breakfast conversation with other guests and our host made a great start to our busy days of sightseeing. The inn's location on a quiet street at the edge of downtown makes for an easy walk to many of the home tours and restaurants.

The house is gorgeous, yet not stuffy. You can feel comfortable here.
When you arrive, you will be greeted with yummy chocolate chip cookies and cold iced tea. Doug will answer any questions you have. He is very knowlegeable of the area. Then you can sit on the front porch or perhaps you'll choose to sit in the back near the sound of the waterfall (fountain). Sleep soundly in your comfortable bed and wake up to the aroma of a delicious breakfast each morning....more than anyone could eat !
Then enjoy your day.

We would definitely stay here again.
