“Another wonderful stay at Historic Oak Hill Inn!”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

This jewel of a B&B stands out as the absolute best in Natchez. I continue to choose Historic Oak Hill Inn because of the beauty of the home and the graciousness of its hosts. This time, my husband and I stayed in the downstairs suite, which is so elegantly appointed. The bed is so comfortable, and they have thought of everything you may need to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. The home has been kept in wonderful condition with beautiful antiques, and a wide porch to sit outside and enjoy their complementary mint juleps. I cannot think of one thing that I would change about this B&B.

Doug and Don were the premiere hosts for our wonderful stay at their fantastic B&B. Be sure to take the complementary tour of their home in addition to touring other fabulous places in Natchez. Doug has an amazing grasp of the local history and brings in some family touches to his story as he guides through their space. And, their breakfasts are "to die for." We highly recommend Historic Oak Hills and look forward to returning regularly. Kudos to Doug and Don!! It's FABULOUS!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Oak Hill B&B. We were greeted with complimentary Mint Juleps, and a warm welcome from our hosts. The room we had was exceptional and the breakfast was the best we've ever had at a B&B. The location is within walking distance of most of the highlights of the city.

Highly recommend this wonderful home.

My partner and I had one of the most delightful stays of an extend road trip at the Historic Oak Hill Inn. Everything was perfect, wonderful room with antique furnishings, a completely modern bath with walk in shower, excellent linens and art. The breakfasts were a feast for the taste buds as well as the eyes, served on antique china with sterling silver and crystal. Each breakfast, or should I say feast, encouraged conversation and relaxation with the other guest. The hosts were right on with dinner suggestions and sites to see. We can not wait to return!

Room Tip: the downstairs bedroom is the one to ask for!!

The Oak Hill Inn leaves nothing to chance. As soon as you arrive, you are greeted with a Mint Julep that is made with mint from the beautiful garden surrounding the property. We stayed in the first floor suite, which, along with the rest of the house is beautifully decorated and is furnished with period antiques. The efforts to ensure that every piece in the house "fits" is evident. Breakfast was great--both filling and very tasty. Finally, the hosts are very helpful and are wonderful hosts, and even gave us tips for our own garden at home.

The two proprietors of this beautifully restored 1835 cottage obviously take their responsibilities seriously and lovingly. The comfort level of our stay was consistently high due to the quality of the house and grounds — even down to minor details — all of which was the result of thoughtful, and apparently continuous, attention by our hosts. The shaded patio and garden invited early evening sitting, abetted by wine or cocktails prepared for the guests. Breakfasts were elegant, served on antique china in a formal dining room, as excellent as any that we've enjoyed anywhere. The Inn is a quiet spot in a quiet and dignified neighborhood, part of the historic section of Natchez. It's an easy walk (past numerous antebellum architectural gems) to downtown. Our experience at the Oak Hill Inn was altogether positive. We highly recommend staying here on a trip to Natchez.

We enjoyed the inn's hospitality and delicious food prepared by the owners Doug and Donald in a beautiful setting. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, the Inn and its owners receive a 10. Doug gave us interesting info about Natchez which was helpful in our tour of the town. The mint juleps that were served were a very nice touch. In our opinion, Natchez is up there with the likes of St. Augustine and Charleston. We will definitely recommend the Oak Hill Inn and the city of Natchez to our friends and family. In addition, we left some of our clothes at the Inn and the owners went above and beyond to make arrangements to send these items to our home.
