Go down the hill from Natchez. Try not to run into the Mississippi River. Eat at Magnolia Grill. You will love. Very casual, excellent service and the best catfish Caesar salad in the entire world. The sunset over the Big Muddy was magnificent. We enjoyed sitting and talking with and ex British Airlines pilot and his wife. They come from all over to the Magnolia Grill.

Our B& B host recommended the Grill. We called for reservations for our party of 6 in the room overlooking the river. Our food was very good. Three of us had the grilled catfish that was tasty. It takes a long time to get your food here. We took the 2 children out to walk on the river while we waited. There were very busy on the Sun. night we visited. The grilled catfish fillet sandwich was about $11.

We were looking for a place nearby our hotel in Natchez, and saw the Magnolia reviewed on several sites. We decided to give it a try and we're very glad we did. We called about an hour before we wanted to leave the hotel for a reservation (on a Thursday night) and when we arrived, we found that they were kind enough to give us the best seat in the house overlooking the river. My margarita was not only very good, it was a work of art with a lemon, orange, and lime sliced over the glass. The bayou egg rolls were very good, as was my burger. The seasoning they use made for a very tasty burger, and the bacon on the burger was thick and tasty. Watching the mighty Mississippi flow by as we dined was very relaxing. All 3 of us agreed that if we lived here, there would be a plaque on the table with our name on it because we would be such good customers.

Sitting on a quiet road right by the side of the Mighty Mississippi, this restaurant has everything going for it. We received excellent and friendly service from the bar staff and waitresses with generous cocktails, so much so that we were truly looking forward to some great food whilst watching the sunset over the Mississippi.

Alas, it was not to be, the main course was presented in super-quick time and it was so obvious that the food had been prepared at least early that day, perhaps before, and then reheated.

Extremly disappointing, sack the cooks and start again with a new kitchen, the settings of the restaurant deserve it!!

Wonderful food, great service. Try the fried green tomatoes...so good. We watched tug boats pass by. We had a very relaxed, enjoyable meal. Food was good, service was good. A MUST try place.
