“Just take a picture and drive on.”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

The folks at the counter when we came in and when we left were friendly, assuring us that "every thing's made from scratch." Our wait person seemed troubled by our presence, however, and we felt less than welcome, as she rarely refilled our drinks, had no time for suggestions on the menu, and overall lacked the "southern hospitality" we expected. The food was okay, but over priced and nothing that could not be found at any deli for much less money. The soup looked and tasted like it came out of a Campbell's can, and the side of potato salad must have been scooped with a melon baller. The sandwich was fine, but as I said, not a value whatsoever. The pies were okay, but nothing to rave about. After you take a picture, drive on, or simply buy a postcard somewhere.

“Great lunch”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Loved the building, had a Ruben sandwich and it was very good, the desserts were great. If you don't eat anything else there try a dessert.

“Not just great roadside architecture”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

Admittedly, it was the roadside architecture of Mammy's Cupboard that first caught my attention. I would have been happy to get some great pictures and enjoy a fairly decent meal. But when I think of our lunch at Mammy's Cupboard, I don't just remember the cool building - I remember the friendly service and fantastic lunch. The homemade bread used on their sandwiches was absolutely delicious! Loved the homemade soup and salad too. The lines can get very long during peak season so plan accordingly. Be sure to save room for one of their many pie selections.

“Worth the stop”

Homemade sourdough bread sandwiches were delicious! Definitely get a meringue pie! Only takes cash or checks. A fun stop!
