Went on a Friday night in November for an anniverary dinner. Our reservation was for 6pm and we were seated right away. We loved the food. We had the New York strip and the trout. Very good portions and the prices were average for a restaurant of that type. Our service was great. The wait staff was very friendly.

The food was average, the service was HORRIBLE, the price was ENORMOUS for the food given. Don't waste your time or money. Go ahead and go to Monmouth for their 5 course amazing meal.
I spent $90 at the Castle for 2 entrees and 1 dessert, where I could have had a 5 course meal for $80 at Monmouth.
The service was horrible. I saw my waiter maybe 3 times. Had to ask someone else for the ticket after we waited 20 minutes after our plates were cleared.
We were stuck in a back room with screaming kids, even though we had a reservation. Great way to spend an anniversary, huh? It seemed that 3 couples walked in without reservations and were seated before we were because they seemed to be Natchez high society. I don't know. This restaurant left me angry and disappointed.

My husband and I had occasion to visit Natchez, MS again last summer. Natchez is one of my favorite places to visit - I love the history, the architecture and the stories behind all the houses. We decided to stay at Dunleith B & B and were delighted to find that there was a restaurant on the grounds - The Castle. Very appropriately named because it looks like a castle and the food was fit for a king. We started our dining experience with flash-fried oysters. They were melt-in-your-mouth good. Our entrees were also outstanding and the service was impeccable. The thing that really stands out in my memory, though, was the fact that I indulged myself and had dessert (a rare occurence!). My husband had the delicious bread pudding and I had the best creme brulee I have ever had! Thanks Castle Restaurant for some wonderful memories as we celebrated our 19th Anniversary!
