Description: Cotton alley is a quaint cafe located across from the Natchez convention center on main st. The owners have been serving the local community for over 35 years in different eating venues. The restaurant seats about 90 people in upstairs and downstairs areas. We serve local cuisine as well as grilled fish, assorted pastas, steaks, salads and sandwiches. We specialize in many homemade desserts , they are considered a local favorite.

We had a very nice dinner. Started with gumbo, that was good, but no spice to it at all, followed by a small salad, and then the entree. I had the jambalaya pasta, which was good but very heavy. My wife had the red fish with crabmeat on top, that was very good. The rolls were very good.

Lovely, elegant-yet-casual, intimate restaurant. The fried shrimp with sweet potato fries was fantastic! We shared a slice of chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting - it don't get better (and I'm not a huge fan of cake!)! Service was friendly and efficient. Wonderful experience!

Little gem of a restaurant in Natchez, MS. We went based on other reviews and were not disappointed. Kids loved the fried catfish and skillet mac and cheese. The grilled fish was perfectly cooked and the cajun pasta was delicious. Would definitely return again.

We had a delightful lunch. We had a variety of orders from sandwiches, chicken salad, burgers and a pork belly appetizer--all got rave reviews. Sweet potato waffle fries were outstanding. Service was super friendly. You can tell this is a place with attention to detail. Although everything was great, the orange layer cake was the best of the best!!!!

Had an amazing meal at the Cotton Alley Cafe tonight. The curb appeal was nice with several tables w/ umbrellas on the side walk and a nice decorated window scene. Upon entering the premises we saw a variety of colorful decorations, art and photography in a very open space with white walls and columns. The proprietor promptly greeted us and offered us seating upstairs or downstairs, and went over the specials with us, which included three varieties of grilled fish, fried oysters and a strip steak. Our waitress came by shortly thereafter to get our drinks and discuss the entrees and wines. We settled on what the staff was most excited about: the Australian Barramundi, a type of Asian Sea Bass. One of our party stuck with the shrimp scampi. I had the grilled Barramundi with the crawfish ettoufee and new potatoes and vegetable side, my father had the Barramundi with capers and a lemon cream sauce. We paired the meal with a bottle of Pacific Rim 2012 Dry Riesling Columbia Valley. Service was fantastic, attentive but not intrusive. We talked with the o
