Description: Cotton alley is a quaint cafe located across from the Natchez convention center on main st. The owners have been serving the local community for over 35 years in different eating venues. The restaurant seats about 90 people in upstairs and downstairs areas. We serve local cuisine as well as grilled fish, assorted pastas, steaks, salads and sandwiches. We specialize in many homemade desserts , they are considered a local favorite.

We ate dinner here our first night in town and it was so good we returned for lunch another day. Ate outside for dinner and food and wine were wonderful. Even though a large bus tour came in after us, they didn't forget us sitting outside. Homemade cake for dessert was fabulous! Stopped by for lunch another day and ate inside. Glad we like to eat early as lots of locals came in as well. Another great meal.

To be sure make reservations so you don't miss this great little place. They were very clever in arranging the basement so you don't feel like you're in the basement, but the air conditioning at the top of the steps makes the basement very cold. The steak special was reasonably priced at $17 and the portion was very generous. The sour cream vinaigrette was very good. How the dinner rolls were made was a surprise!

It is a pleasant place and the food was good. It was interestingly decorated and seemed to have some locals eating there. Fair to middlin' service.

I had the chicken salad plate and my husband had the fried oyster chef salad. A little pricey but good.

Had a very nice dinner (loved the gumbo) at the modestly priced restaurant. We stayed overnight in Natchez, and this was on our list of places to eat. Service was very good, would definitely eat here again, if we ever get to Natchez again.
