There is a guide book available at several places around town, especially Turning Pages bookstore, that I'd recommend buying before visiting the cemetery. It is a fascinating place with many, many stories to tell. Just walking along the rows of tombstones from the 1800s can keep you occupied for hours - time seems to fly there! Many points of history from Natchez' past are commemorated there in the cemetery, and it should be a stop on any visit to the city.
