Eat here everytime I get to Natchez and get the same thing--deluxe cheeseburger and a malt. Only the type of malt varies. This time on March 14, 2013 had the caramel malt with extra malt and the cheeseburger. Both were excellent. Have fond childhood memories eating here. They do a booming business and have a pretty varied menu. People keep driving into it and tearing the front down but he always comes back better than ever.

Quality and price never belong in the same sentence. This place is exactly that. Cheap food with no quality. Better places to eat than this.

This isn't fine cuisine, but if you want a classic burger, well seasoned fries, and a tasty milkshake, stop by. Good early supper after a day of pilgrimage tours in safe, easy to find location.

If you grew up in the 50s, 60s or 70s, you probably remember a hometown malt shop that made the best burgers, fries and shakes in the world. The Malt Shop in Natchez is such a place. We were there for lunch - you place your order at the window and sit on the picnic table while it's being custom-prepared, and then you can eat it there or take it to a picnic location - like the bluff beside the Mississippi River. This is nothing fancy or gourmet... just delicious, old-fashioned burgers and all the trimmings at a reasonable price.
