My husband and I lived in SF/Marin county for over a decade and we wanted to see SF and Marin county in one week . Out last trip we stayed on nob hill and yes it was beautiful but it was very expensive , as all SF hotels are. Parking alone was $50/day...this trip we decided to give the Mill Valley HIExpress a try . We loved it . Fifteen minutes to Muir Beach or SF! King room with a perfect view of Mt Tamalpais for $179. Free good breakfast and free s'mores by the fire pit nightly . Buckeye Roadhouse across the street, best food in Marin (make a reservation!) Gracious staff and a peerless walking and biking path along the waters edge . Free bikes and coffee as well, comfy hammocks and lovely pool area. We are natives and we know where to go so this was a perfect choice and less than a third of the usual price. Go for it.

Nice hotel outside San Francisco. Great if you have a car. Free parking and 20 mins to city centre. Clean rooms and nice friendly staff. Would stay here again next time. Much better than an city hotel where they charge 40 USD pr day just for parking.

Good hotel, close to Muir woods and golden gate bridge. Really no issues. Snores for pit is great for kids. Close to good restaurants. I will stay again if in the area. Staff was good. Breakfast was typical and average.

This place is amazing! The desk clerk called five minutes after we got there to make sure everything was up to our satisfaction. Smores every night by the fire, heated Pool, spacious hot tub, free bike rentals and hammocks outside our doors. Everything was clean and quiet. State of the art fitness room, and the breakfast was out of this world. It was hot eggs and sausage with pancakes. Who could ask for more at this hotel. I highly recommend this place. One of the best places I have ever stayed.

We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Muir Woods. While the rooms are nicely decorated and the grounds nicely appointed, our rooms smelled of mildew, we were greeted with attitude by the front desk staff when we requested help with our television, and the grounds were littered with cigarette butts and beer bottle caps. At $170/night, we expected much more than we got.
